At least the food bloggers will make bank thanks to those looking for escapism if socialists win.

2018-07-27 21:54:57 UTC

Well assuming they're allowed to make money, and able to continue their blog with what they get in the bread line.

There's been like a couple battlerite things and once there was a warfarm promo while I was trying to be patient with the game

2018-07-27 22:51:09 UTC

2018-07-27 22:55:21 UTC

Hey, there's also a lot of bad games you'll never play that you get on a client that you'll never install

2018-07-27 22:55:21 UTC

Want good bang for your buck? Get warband, it was only a few dollars whwn I got it, and I mamaged to clock in over 1.4k hours on it

2018-07-27 22:56:40 UTC

They had Banner Saga on there. It's not all bad games

2018-07-27 22:56:59 UTC

Also I had to cut myself off from Warband

2018-07-27 22:59:00 UTC

Just get Daggerfall. The game never ends. You can also get a free download that is actually superior to the one you can buy from steam.

2018-07-27 23:00:30 UTC

I'm telling Todd you said that.

2018-07-27 23:01:05 UTC

Why would I want to play Bethesda games?

2018-07-27 23:01:23 UTC

porn mods

2018-07-27 23:01:24 UTC

daggerfall is greeat

2018-07-27 23:01:26 UTC

2018-07-27 23:01:28 UTC

2018-07-27 23:02:07 UTC

And if I wanted to watch models bump into each other awkwardly I don't need to pay 60 bucks per release for that

2018-07-27 23:03:00 UTC

porn mods have advance incredibly for the years

2018-07-27 23:03:46 UTC

Todd hated that

2018-07-27 23:04:04 UTC

tough titty

2018-07-27 23:04:04 UTC

All the advancement in the world will never defeat borked physics and puppet models

2018-07-27 23:04:47 UTC

the porked physics

2018-07-27 23:04:57 UTC

nad the pooped models

2018-07-27 23:05:44 UTC

Anyone here, a man of culture, whom might have played Die by the sword as a kid?

2018-07-27 23:06:23 UTC

I might have it on GoG. I was eyeballing it a few times. Never played it, but I did play RUNE

2018-07-27 23:06:57 UTC

When I was a kid it was Sega, then PlayStation. Didn't have a good PC for gaming until HS

2018-07-27 23:07:06 UTC

I remember the controls being terrible. Last time I played was... many ages ago. But the game is great for its time

2018-07-27 23:07:17 UTC

And it just popped on my head for some reason so I just mentioned it

2018-07-27 23:08:43 UTC

RUNE is great

2018-07-27 23:32:34 UTC

sargon just joined

2018-07-27 23:32:58 UTC

Jeremy, Dankula, Bearing and Sargon

2018-07-27 23:53:19 UTC

I just joined to specify something i believe Tim was unaware of, when it comes to canadian insurance rates, and that's that those insurance rates are unaffected by any sort of program meant to assist disadvantaged people, the reason why men are charged more is due to an increase to men's prices (especially around 17-24) due to that demographic being riskier drivers, as much as it sucks to be judged on the same spectrum of every guy who flipped his truck into the ditch, that's the situation here.

2018-07-27 23:55:50 UTC

And now you're stuck here forever

2018-07-27 23:56:32 UTC

And that doesn't really counter Tim's point

2018-07-27 23:57:21 UTC

Which is that if the rate is lowered that's discriminatory based on an arbitrary characteristic

2018-07-27 23:57:21 UTC

Actually, if anything, it sort of confirms Tim's point

2018-07-27 23:57:55 UTC

He described it as a program though, which is what i addressed.

2018-07-27 23:58:08 UTC

His point aside

2018-07-27 23:58:27 UTC

Isnt canada the country that makes it easy to change the gender you identify with?

2018-07-27 23:59:38 UTC

I wouldnt say its explicitly a program. The issue id reckon stems from how they have very vague definitions on gender.

2018-07-27 23:59:55 UTC

Never really needed to know how to do that. So no clue, only concerned with any bill with a C in front of it from the last decade, they either took away privacy, or restricted speech.

2018-07-28 00:01:54 UTC

But i do know this, men were charged more, because insurance companies saw an opportunity to cash in, so their solution to this will likely be to just increase prices for women to match men's.

2018-07-28 00:02:04 UTC

And I think that made it easier to exploit the system.

2018-07-28 00:02:33 UTC

Well the insurace company charging men more is just pragmatism.

2018-07-28 00:03:09 UTC

Its discrimitory, but the point is that gender does play a role in many things and driving habits are one of those.

2018-07-28 00:04:11 UTC

I mean, the insurance industry in canada... is certainly something. It's a state enforced necessity, can't drive without it, and several measures have been taken (specifically in Alberta) to make sure that if you try to pursue competitive rates, it'll cost you more than just staying with your current company.

2018-07-28 00:04:52 UTC

Huh, so its another obamacare style issue

2018-07-28 00:05:06 UTC

And everytime they rose rates illegally, they just apologized, then asked for permission.

2018-07-28 00:06:10 UTC

Pretty much, no way to not get screwed by insurance here, just gotta sit in the corner and watch it abuse your wallet

2018-07-28 00:06:41 UTC

or just use public transit. one of the two.

2018-07-28 00:08:24 UTC

Apologize for it. How canadian.

2018-07-28 00:09:14 UTC

So insurance, enforced by the govt. Cant turn a profit or be competitive. Well they must know something I dont then.

2018-07-28 00:09:14 UTC

Yeah, but it's an oopsie then not changing anything, like a kid apologizing in grade school.

2018-07-28 00:09:27 UTC

Oh, they can turn a profit

2018-07-28 00:09:37 UTC

They're not state owned.

2018-07-28 00:09:48 UTC

But why the anti competition rule?

2018-07-28 00:12:35 UTC

if you knew the canadian governments history with this stuff, actually, great example, during WW2 canada produced the sten SMG i believe it was called, it was absolute trash. The reason for it being that the prime minister's nephew had a friend who's father owned a factory, or something along those lines.

2018-07-28 00:14:28 UTC

So probably just because insurance lobbyists asked, or because someone knew a guy. You wouldn't believe the amount stuff that goes on in Alberta, lot of people working Exxon and Shell fell to their death in a field.

2018-07-28 00:14:35 UTC

So to prevent nepotisim? Wouldnt that be throwing the baby with the bathwater?

2018-07-28 00:15:09 UTC

No, it's not to prevent nepotism, it's more likely to help those individuals.

2018-07-28 00:15:17 UTC

Or to prevent a monopoly I guess. One company having a really big advantage over others

2018-07-28 00:15:48 UTC

At the result of deals being the same.

2018-07-28 00:16:15 UTC

But the Star System, in alberta, just makes something that acts like a monopoly anyways.

2018-07-28 00:16:51 UTC

so there's no point to having multiple competitors, since they cannot compete in any sense.

2018-07-28 00:18:59 UTC

So good and bad?

2018-07-28 00:23:13 UTC
