Based on derrada and foucalt
Where the world is based on systems of power
because nebulous bullshit can be used for good and bad, again like the religion comparison
but the nebulous bullshit boils down to "acquiring justice for people through means other than the actual justice system"
See, I'd describe a good social justice advocate as people like Stephen fry, or MLK
stephen fry is not a fucking social justice advocate
The bad ones, someone like PZ Myers
PZ myers is
@Beef Taquitos He classifies himself as such
He said good social justice, you dink.
His openning statement on the munk debate
there is no such thing as good social justice
that's like dry water or cold fire
๐
Then you are dishonest.
Don't be obtuse.
it's like *ethical child porn*(you guys might not get the Destiny reference there)
Don't be obtuse.
says the person repeating themselves.
I wouldn't have to.
But you continued.
Social justice is a cancer. The only good social justice is no social justice.
Anything that purports to be "justice" besides actual justice is garbage
Yo folks if Social Justice is a religion then Tim is agnostic? <:TimThink:482277772497125378>
~~: Prove me wrong.~~
sorry, that's not the meme
: Change my mind.
Equality of opportunity existed before "social justice". Equality of outcome is what social justice was created for.
No that's communism
He and you are wrong if you think it's about equality of opportunity.
Vague definitions is a problem. I've noticed that SJW people don't think equality of opportunity and outcome are different. If I remember correctly Thomas Smith said he was for equality of opportunity, but when pressed on it he said we measure equality of opportunity by the outcomes. Sorry, I might be side tracking the discussion you guys were having.
Same thing.
Well people having terrible understanding of *language and therefore terrible conclusions is pretty typical, which again is why I think he's arrived at a bad definition of social justice.
He's pretty reasonable so I don't think he's got bad logical processes
I compare it to feminism here because every time you try to nail down feminism it boils down to "equality" which is a wholly inappropriate definition both for the concept and how they implement it. Same with the way social justice is being defined here and how he seems to deal with it.
Does Tim clarify what Kanye meant about the 13th amendment thing?
I don't remember him mentioning that
just remember him agreeing with him about a lot and not knowing wtf he was saying a lot, which tends to be how kanye works
I haven't watched the latest video yet, so I can't comment on it yet. It would not surprise me though if Tim is still trying to hold on to a word the SJWs are corrupting.
I didn't watch the clip and I didn't know he mentioned that when he was speaking so I'd say unless I was heavily distracted, no tim didn't mention it
The SJWs are literally the zealots of the concept, they're not corrupting it, they're the inevitable outcome of it
equality was a thing before social justice, it will be a thing long after social justice
Well this will be a long read
most of the time social justice is a way of virtue signalling your worth to others these days, so perhaps it is being corrupted by competition, if only in the extremes it's being taken to
```"the visible hand,"```
Oh jesus it's the nega-libertarians
or was it ancoms I forget
@oprahsminge Does he actually get into what it meant in 2009? cuz I'm only seeing comparisons and definitions of what it meant hundreds of years ago which is wholly irrelevant to us today, as anyone who called themselves a "democrat" a hundred years ago could tell you when looking at current democrats.
I feel like we're at a very strong delineation line of the democrat/republican dynamic shifting yet again but that's a whole other subject.
Damn it I know tim won't define "social justice"(to him) because of his neutrality thing which is okay but I want to argue the subject with him to see where the disparity lies. Arguing it by proxy is so unsatisfying.
I agree, arguing over what Tim might think and what definitions he uses is kind of running in circle when he could just clarify what he thinks.
that is the official left wing google definetion of social justice not some made up shit the left will use oh wait
@grant he's made a bunch of videos and hasn't clarified, he won't, it's his thing to be a little mysterious for the sake of avoiding shitstorms
his "or maybe I'm wrong" is a pretty constant thing too lol
Have you tried to get him to clarify here? He actually does drop in every now and then.
Feminists and SJW on the left DO NOT WANT EQUALITY
@Rabbi Shekels lmao that's literally just saying "social justice is societal communism"
They constantly advocate for inequality that is a fact
that's amazing
@grant I'm hoping to catch him and ask, but I wanted to see if anyone else had anything that could change my mind since he isn't around.
Tina the Transtesticle
ewww ^
looks like I'll have to try and get it from the horse's mouth
Nay
Beastiality is nasty bro @Beef Taquitos
god what is it with humans and horses?
women like dem horse cocks
getting things from horses mouths, looking gift horses in the mouth, leading horses to water
it's almost like horses were an essential part of society for a long time lol
๐ด ๐๐ฟ ๐
Hey you! Quit *horsing around*
i feel like tim is being brainwashed more and more everyday moving further left sometimes
Eh
honestly I think he's doing the opposite
he seems to express more and more frustration with the left
he's trying to reform the left that he's a part of imo
^
fight the enemy closest to you first
"lmao that's literally just saying "social justice is societal communism"" Isn't this what people call Cultural Marxism. Classical Marxism = implementing communism through class groups. Cultural Marxism = implementing communism though social groups (race, gender, urban etc).
sorry to go back to an old comment
732, radio graffiti.
"(equality in) distribution of wealth, opportunities, and priviledges" is yeah I guess what you'd say is cultural marxism, which social justice is undeniably part of
I mean it includes standard marxism in it with that summary bit I did
Does Tim still like Bernie Sanders or when he brings him up is he saying why he did like him (as in past tense)?
lmfao Punished Kavanaugh
yes
sargon is still great fuck the haters lol
what happened?
He still says he likes bernie, which I can't understand
I ***believe*** he's said he'd still vote for bernie
he's mentioned bernie recently but I could be mistaken there\
i think he mentioned it like a day or two ago
>bernie
>"it"
OBJECTIFYING SHITLORD
objectifying the fact he said he would vote for bernie? shit, didn't realize actions could be objectified
Damn it. You found my one weakness. *Context*.
Its funny but I actually thought Bernie was the most dangerous candidate last election because he seemed the most sincere.
how could one find context? according to the left, there is no such thing
