I feel hopeful for MN. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
nearly all districts going red, with a few hard dem populations in for district control
It is higly likely that the Republicans will gain seats, the real question is... how much?
some of the states pushed for mob rule population voting(calif is one example)...so no district electoral college
but the thing is....states can only do that to their own local elections, they can't legally do shit to the federal elections
I think an interesting poll would be to see how many people think trump SHOULD be able to replace RBG before the election. Obviously everyone here would like him to, but itโs an entirely situation if he should be able to
I think it should wait
We didnโt let Obama do it
And he had like 9 times the time we have left till election
The reasoning that the right is standing by is that the reason try didn't let Obama, a lame duck president(that just means its their final year and they are trying to push in whatever they can) the Senate was Republican majority, so it would see that the people would want the Republicans to choose, as compared to the Democratic pres. So now that the Senate and the presidency share the same party, then the people who expanded the Republican hold in the Senate, would seem to approve of a Republican choice for the SCOTUS, so it seems very likely and plausible that they can quickly in under a month get a suitable candidate into the SCOTUS
I see what people are saying, but even if a president is in their second term, you canโt just take all their power away because they got elected for 4 years, let them use their 4 years, Obama had basically just under a year of still being president. And if Iโm not mistaken (correct me if Iโm wrong) the president is a big part of choosing SCOTUS vacancies. Obviously there is still a vote, but itโs the presidents duty
The President can nominate but the Senate calls the voting shots. This is shouldn't be a fair/unfair issue for the two parties. The people elected a senate majority for Republicans and so the senate majority should have the power to decide. The left can cry all they want about "fairness" while they wish for a democrat to be in the supreme court but we should know the real goal is to fight for a party majority on all forms of government.
You snooze, you lose. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Florida is getting alot of support for Trump recently. Marist is a left leaning poll but have apparently found ties and the same could be said with Florida Atlantic Univeristy.
We could see Florida up 2 points for Trump on November 3rd.
we went red for Trump in 2016, going to be even more red for 2020. the only city in Florida the dems and left leaning pollsters like to talk about is Miami because of it's high democrat voting hispanics. now, even that is starting to look bad for them and Trump is looking really good even there.
Seems to look pretty good for Trump in a swing state like Florida and it's 29 Electoral Votes similar to how Ohio was looking in the 2016 election. Speaking of Ohio, the first debate between Trump and Biden will happen in Cleveland, Ohio in 10 days (at September, 29) moderated by Fox News' Chris Wallace. This debate will finally show some transparency between both candidates but especially Joe Biden as we have not seen many appearances in other states and for the fact that he refuses to answer many hard-hitting questions from reporters to the CNN town hall.
IF the debates even happen. they rely so heavily on teleprompters, and cut up/spliced pre-recorded videos to make Biden look good.
this is my map, based off of mid term stuff and modern polling data
im a pessimist keep that in mind
its going to be super close, and as much as i want him to win, i dont see a super easy path forward
Im really not seeing people all the sudden see looting in their city and put two and two together and vote red, i see looting areas voting blue due to the medias twisting of the riots
and blaming it on trump
mn is red because of how close the race is, and its always a pretty blue area and hasnt gone blue in so long, and for trump to have a good chance, i put it red
would like to hear someone rebut my points and point me in a more realistic map in their opinion
Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, and South Carolina are pretty safe for Republicans (Iowa could maybe follow if we see how the results would turn out). Michigan is a state which looks Red for John James in the senate because of his poll numbers right now compared to his governor race polls and this might follow into the presidential polls aswell. Maine's 2nd Congressional seat is all red and has a low chance to change back for Democrats. Nebraska 2nd is either way on lean red/lean blue (Idk about this area but if I had to choose, maybe red ๐คท ) Everything else seems fine but could be different from the actual results on election day.
It's a shame Oregon doesn't have any polls.
Remember, it is usually very difficult to poll the Midwest (Rustbelt area) because most of the people are at work and don't respond to the polls as often.
Nevada in 2020 = Wisconsin in 2016 in my own opinion. Joe Biden might never go to Nevada similar to how Clinton never went to Wisconsin. It's just a parallel guess I'm calling... hopefully this proves true in 2020.
CNN has an article saying Biden is beating Trump like 57% to 41%. They go as far as Biden could win in a blowout. https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/20/politics/poll-of-the-week-joe-biden-blowout-donald-trump-election/index.html
This could be another one of those "The polls were wrong".
Nancy won a blowout
Rasmussen has trump leading and they were right last time
Whatโs that source? ^
Thatโs good if itโs true
Rasmussen, which has correctly predicted the popular vote for 2016.
@Kingsum I think the word you were looking for in the poll was "Democratic Socialism" right?
Wait shit you right
They always make up dumb stuff so I just picked a random
lol no worries. it took me a second to realize it wasnt right
Technically they are different, though they do result in the same thing.
https://www.270towin.com/maps/rkLwJ my guess
California and Washington tilt red?
wasn't california only lost by 50-60k votes? I have no idea
California was lost by over 4 million in difference and would never, by any circumstances, go back to Red in the 2020 election.
i think PA might flip
Although a small sample size, it's still pretty surprising to see a large swing state poll favoring Trump.
Same with all the other states Trump has won.
Oh wait I thought they were blue
Yeah I think trump has them in the bag. Im from NJ where everyone is blue so i thought they were too
Honestly, just looking at everything, I strongly believe that in a free and fair election, Biden doesn't stand a chance. Unfortunately there is a lot of voter fraud, especially here in California, with people voting twice, illegal immigrants voting, and mail in voting , and votes being collected by third parties.
Did you know that orange county used to be a conservative stronghold, but the year that we started allowing third parties to manage the votes, we've apparently only been electing democrats?
I live in a very democrat city in New York but if I drive outside into the more rural areas there are way more trump signs so I wouldnโt be surprised if ny us close
Tons of Trump flags and American flags in WA state! Voting system and local governments are corrupt though! Everyone on my block is for <:TrumpSmile:720121948088041513> so I just ๐ our voices are heard!
I hope we can get enough people to win that state. If it's a possibility, vote in person to avoid any mail-in-ballot corruption. Your voices will be heard on November 3rd!
Itโs funny how different it is whenever I travel over the mountains in WA. The east side is completely different from the liberal urban west side
@Rocci polling places have never existed in Wa as far as I know ๐ hopefully that can be fixed at some point <:TrumpSmile:720121948088041513>
@Rocci if Trump wins WA I'm going to celebrate like I never have before! I will probably have happy tears. Js
I wish your state good luck. @ me once though ๐
Yeah, WA is like night and day about 5 miles outside of the Seattle-Tacoma area, even in some pockets in them. I've seen more Trump signs here than I have when I lived in NC during the last election
I live in a swing area in NC and I have definitely seen more Trump signs than Biden signs
Maybe itโs cuz Iโm still young but tbh I donโt really have a stance on abortion rights and what not.
I'm a staunch pro life but I understand sometimes and a modern society you have to compromise. But the left in America has turned it into Pro Life vs Pro Abortion where abortion should be allowed upto birth (and maybe after) for any reason. Even in Europe, which the left loves to use as an example, many countries like France limit abortion to 12 week with others at least putting a cap at 18-24 weeks, which is really far along in my option considering modern medicine has had a baby born at 21 weeks and 5 days and survive.
I believe there are many other ways to prevent pregnancy vs murder.
Or if you want an abortion, fine, but you must get your tubes tied at the same time.
Then the baby murdering parent wouldn't be able to murder their own kids anymore
hmmmm.... personally I would never get an abortion under just about 100% of circumstances, but I also wouldn't want to make that choice for another person :/
I dont have a problem being opposed to someone ending anothers life.
Many people make the decision to protect the lives of others every day.
Yep. Police, fire services, the military, ICE, etc.
Murder is murder but if I had to rank, I'd put the murder of a helpless child near the top.
Also, I think in general we should bring back the shame of having an abortion. It's sickening to see these celebrities on these award shows praising their multiple abortions and how it has made their life better all while others like to virtue signal about adopting an african kid. There are kids in america who were not aborted who could be adopted.
In my opinion, the life of that innocent child is worth far more than whatever monster made the decision to kill it. That coward of a woman should not be able to decide the fate of that pure and innocent child. If she doesn't want to or can't provide for the child, there are many people who do not have the ability to have children and would gladly take hers in as their own. It is cowardly and evil to have an abortion, and should not be tolerated.
If you don't want the baby there's always adoption
They don't want the responsibility of dealing with anything like that. Its much easier to just go in, spread your legs (same thing that got you in this situation to begin with) and let them vacuum out the problem.
It's not like there isn't a plethora of contraceptive options out there, subsidized by our tax dollars. But that could lower their enjoyment or required planning...
Lmfao.
Condoms. 98%
Birth control. 99%
Diaphragm. 94%
Pull out. 5% (maybe?)
But combine them all and you have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting pregnant.
Abstinence 100%
Yup
But thats not really a contraceptive.
Or a feasible one
Especially in a day of tinder and promiscuity
It's almost like the purpose of sex is the creation of a new life so abstinence is the only way to guarantee. If you are going to have sex thou, contraceptives are very effective, particularly when combined, but sometimes...life finds a way.
You should be ready to accept that possibly.
Part of being an adult is that life doesn't always go your way so your plans may have to change but that's not a reason to take it out on an innocent life.
Amen
what about if a 13 year old girl gets raped and pregnant? I am committed to adopting multiple children when I have a wife and we are starting a family. but can you ban that girl from terminating that pregnancy very early on? I would say that the only reason she couldn't terminate the pregnancy VERY early on is if someone guarantees to adopt the baby. Does that make sence?
I think the argument there is whether it is morally right to "correct" one wrong, rape, with another, murder.
The obvious exception here would be the actual harm that a pregnancy at that age could present itself for the mother, but rape cases make up a small portion of abortions.
New born babies are always in demand for adoption in the US, but even if one wasn't lined up, the child would always have the option to go into the states care. Most pregnancy crisis centers are equipped to handle the paperwork and walk the mother through what is needed to put the child up for adoption. They would also be able to make sure the mother gets the care she needs to keep the baby healthy till it's born.
yeah yall make good points
I think the U.S. needs to simplify the adoption process
make it cheaper
I absolutely agree, the cost puts it out of range for many families who would otherwise be great parents and treat the kid with love. Just because you can't afford a $60k+ adoption fees in lump does not mean you do not make enough to take care of a child.
I read that as "simplify the abortion process" at first...
