2020-11-06 01:47:51 UTC

Which is a felony.

2020-11-06 01:47:51 UTC

there are probably more

2020-11-06 01:48:04 UTC

@LrnAshly it doesn't matter, the aggressor had no knowledge of his age

2020-11-06 01:48:22 UTC

But he was committing a crime during the self defense

2020-11-06 01:48:28 UTC

By possessing the firearm

2020-11-06 01:48:32 UTC

I bet you are committing a crime right now ๐Ÿ˜›

2020-11-06 01:48:37 UTC

That does not likely forfeit his right to live.

2020-11-06 01:48:37 UTC

Iโ€™m totally playing devils advocate

2020-11-06 01:48:43 UTC

it is very hard not to commit crimes in the US

2020-11-06 01:48:43 UTC

You have to keep that in mind.

2020-11-06 01:48:46 UTC

Btw yโ€™all

2020-11-06 01:49:01 UTC

Commission of a crime is also normally legally defined as act of perpetrating an offense. And @LrnAshly has not described how his having firearm was illegal

2020-11-06 01:49:11 UTC

It is very hard to get caught committing crimes in the US I would argue hahaha

2020-11-06 01:49:21 UTC

Saying he could not use a firearm in self-defense in that scenario is very well saying you forfeit your right to live.

2020-11-06 01:49:29 UTC

Which is simply not true.

2020-11-06 01:49:31 UTC

@realz (I know that isn't you but still want to talk about it) if they wanted to do that then they should have charged him with that. But they didn't so that point it moot. And if they did charge him with than the argument would made that they would need to get everyone else that was there the same charge.

2020-11-06 01:49:32 UTC

@xephael I explained, it is a grey area if it is legal for a 17 year old to carry in WI

2020-11-06 01:49:34 UTC

I am playing devils advocate

2020-11-06 01:49:36 UTC

Again

2020-11-06 01:49:38 UTC

Damn

2020-11-06 01:49:42 UTC

@LrnAshly agreed, you can steal a national election and get away with it.

2020-11-06 01:50:00 UTC

@TheParamedicGamer they did charge him with it

2020-11-06 01:50:01 UTC

I am literally giving yโ€™all the opposite point. I have never said I believed it to be true

2020-11-06 01:50:13 UTC

@TheParamedicGamer one of the charges is possession

2020-11-06 01:50:34 UTC

@LrnAshly don't take offense, we are just responding to the Devil ๐Ÿ˜›

2020-11-06 01:50:38 UTC

Didn't say you were silly for thinking that or putting out that statement, it's all good. I'm used to people trying to break up echo chambers.

2020-11-06 01:50:38 UTC

@realz I'm talking the curfew part.

2020-11-06 01:50:44 UTC
2020-11-06 01:50:44 UTC

Lots of people are contrarians. Haha.

2020-11-06 01:50:47 UTC

Wait who is the devil hahahaha

2020-11-06 01:50:50 UTC

@TheParamedicGamer yea maybe who knows

2020-11-06 01:50:58 UTC

lol

2020-11-06 01:51:10 UTC

In todayโ€™s political world I wholeheartedly second that

2020-11-06 01:51:12 UTC

Lmao

2020-11-06 01:51:26 UTC

Prosecutors are idiotic... I trust what they charge people with about as much as I trust politicians ๐Ÿคช

2020-11-06 01:51:33 UTC

@realz he wasn't charged with violation of curfew

2020-11-06 01:51:53 UTC
2020-11-06 01:52:01 UTC

I am of the unpopular opinion we need a third party that we will never get > Prosecutors are idiotic... I trust what they charge people with about as much as I trust politicians ๐Ÿคช
@xephael I agree!!!!!!!

2020-11-06 01:52:06 UTC

@TheParamedicGamer yea i agreed with your point about curfew

2020-11-06 01:52:12 UTC

Prosecutors are far more involved in politics in the legal system.

2020-11-06 01:52:16 UTC

As they're linked to DAs.

2020-11-06 01:52:23 UTC

Who are elected.

2020-11-06 01:52:59 UTC

> Rittenhouse has legal aid offered by GOA (gun owners of america) and they're not exactly dolts
@xephael Go listen to Barnes on Frei, he rants about the lawyers in charge

2020-11-06 01:53:06 UTC

Exception being federal prosecutors iirc

2020-11-06 01:53:23 UTC

I need links to these videos ladies and gents haha

2020-11-06 01:53:23 UTC

I am actually taking my lsat in January with hopes of becoming a prosecutor itโ€™s the single most powerful position in the legal system when you look at the weight of a persons life being in someoneโ€™s hands. Thereโ€™s room for discretion and alternative sentences Iโ€™ve yet to see executed from my local commonwealth attorney

2020-11-06 01:53:23 UTC

But that's also why federal prosecutors have massive conviction rates.

2020-11-06 01:53:34 UTC

Because they're far more thorough and unbiased imo.

2020-11-06 01:53:35 UTC

Maw the Fox, just mentioned

2020-11-06 01:53:41 UTC

thanks for moderating ๐Ÿ™‚

2020-11-06 01:53:52 UTC

I am of the unpopular opinion that all Democrats should become libertarians or join the Green Party.

2020-11-06 01:53:53 UTC

Anytime! :D

2020-11-06 01:54:02 UTC

Maw I agree.

2020-11-06 01:54:26 UTC

@Maw there are some very political federal prosecutors

2020-11-06 01:54:30 UTC

Yas gypsy!!! I feel a lot more people would identify libertarian if they understood it better

2020-11-06 01:54:32 UTC

SDNY is railed on by Barnes

2020-11-06 01:54:57 UTC

@realz ๐Ÿ˜‚ itโ€™s one of the basic truths of life!

2020-11-06 01:54:59 UTC

There are always exceptions to the rule.

2020-11-06 01:55:10 UTC

I'm talking the mean federal prosecutor.

2020-11-06 01:55:30 UTC

@LrnAshly well I hope you are successful, the government needs more employees who believe in small government!

2020-11-06 01:55:36 UTC

SDNY put Frei's show in a legal document trying to convince the court to gag someone, and using Frei's show as an example of information getting out of hand. Next day, Frei's show blew up. Robert has to figure out how to get mentioned in SDNY filings.

2020-11-06 01:55:37 UTC

And effective government

2020-11-06 01:57:13 UTC

@realz I found Frei cause I was watching Legal Eagle. I am not a lawyer but I suspected he was misleading people on the law. So I searched โ€œlegal eagle wrongโ€ and Viva popped up first. Subscribed lol

2020-11-06 01:57:27 UTC

lol

2020-11-06 01:57:39 UTC

unfortunately there are not a lot of lawyers on the internet discussing politics

2020-11-06 01:57:44 UTC

Well law isn't something that is handled by robots, so there is always going to be a lawyer who is wrong in a case.

2020-11-06 01:57:51 UTC

there are some other good ones, but they stay away from politics like the plague

2020-11-06 01:58:12 UTC

alas there are no left wing lawyers that I know of, aside from Legal Eagle recently (that discuss politics)

2020-11-06 01:58:20 UTC

Legal Eagle doesn't cover everything, only the things he picks

2020-11-06 01:58:22 UTC

There are quite a few.

2020-11-06 01:58:26 UTC

Don't you worry. lol

2020-11-06 01:58:33 UTC

so no Rittenhouse discussion by a left wing lawyer

2020-11-06 01:58:44 UTC

if you have a Rittenhouse discussion by a left wing lawyer, please please link

2020-11-06 01:58:50 UTC

No one covers everything. It's literally impossible.

2020-11-06 01:58:56 UTC

Left-wing lawyers will talk about what Ashley talked about earlier.

2020-11-06 01:59:04 UTC

Rittenhouse was violating the law at the time, etc.

2020-11-06 01:59:32 UTC

but left wing lawyers get these guys off the hook all the time for carrying illegally but using self defense

2020-11-06 01:59:33 UTC

lol

2020-11-06 01:59:40 UTC

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

2020-11-06 01:59:42 UTC

link plx

2020-11-06 01:59:42 UTC

Start of pandemic my legal literacy is Matlock. Then I followed Lheto, Viva, Uncivil, R&R, Nate, and some LEO and 1st Amendment Auditors.

Now, my legal literacy is: NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE.

Thatโ€™s it. That all I know.

2020-11-06 01:59:44 UTC

No argument there.

2020-11-06 01:59:53 UTC

@Maw just gimme names

2020-11-06 01:59:58 UTC

I collect lawyer channels

2020-11-06 02:00:01 UTC

I can't even recall.

2020-11-06 02:00:04 UTC

๐Ÿ˜ฆ

2020-11-06 02:00:15 UTC

`Lheto` is awesome

2020-11-06 02:00:18 UTC

but not political

2020-11-06 02:00:26 UTC

I bet Nate the Lawyer covered Rittenhouse

2020-11-06 02:00:30 UTC

`Nate` closest to left, but not left

2020-11-06 02:00:30 UTC

Leonard French is left-wing or center-left, but I don't think he's covered Rittenhouse.

2020-11-06 02:00:32 UTC

Heโ€™s liberal

2020-11-06 02:00:38 UTC

@Gypsy he agreed with the rest

2020-11-06 02:00:48 UTC

self defense.

2020-11-06 02:00:48 UTC

He mostly works with civil suits.

2020-11-06 02:00:55 UTC

@realz yeah I know I am just saying he is liberal ๐Ÿ˜‚

2020-11-06 02:01:10 UTC

he called himself centrist recently

2020-11-06 02:01:33 UTC

@realz he is getting griefed by his liberal friends lol

2020-11-06 02:01:36 UTC

`NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE` the video titled with this title is the best

2020-11-06 02:01:39 UTC
