Which is a felony.
there are probably more
@LrnAshly it doesn't matter, the aggressor had no knowledge of his age
But he was committing a crime during the self defense
By possessing the firearm
I bet you are committing a crime right now ๐
That does not likely forfeit his right to live.
Iโm totally playing devils advocate
it is very hard not to commit crimes in the US
You have to keep that in mind.
Btw yโall
Commission of a crime is also normally legally defined as act of perpetrating an offense. And @LrnAshly has not described how his having firearm was illegal
It is very hard to get caught committing crimes in the US I would argue hahaha
Saying he could not use a firearm in self-defense in that scenario is very well saying you forfeit your right to live.
Which is simply not true.

@realz (I know that isn't you but still want to talk about it) if they wanted to do that then they should have charged him with that. But they didn't so that point it moot. And if they did charge him with than the argument would made that they would need to get everyone else that was there the same charge.
@xephael I explained, it is a grey area if it is legal for a 17 year old to carry in WI
I am playing devils advocate
Again
Damn
@LrnAshly agreed, you can steal a national election and get away with it.
@TheParamedicGamer they did charge him with it
I am literally giving yโall the opposite point. I have never said I believed it to be true
@TheParamedicGamer one of the charges is possession
@LrnAshly don't take offense, we are just responding to the Devil ๐
Didn't say you were silly for thinking that or putting out that statement, it's all good. I'm used to people trying to break up echo chambers.
@realz I'm talking the curfew part.
Lots of people are contrarians. Haha.
Wait who is the devil hahahaha
@TheParamedicGamer yea maybe who knows
lol
In todayโs political world I wholeheartedly second that
Lmao
Prosecutors are idiotic... I trust what they charge people with about as much as I trust politicians ๐คช
@realz he wasn't charged with violation of curfew
@TheParamedicGamer right
I am of the unpopular opinion we need a third party that we will never get > Prosecutors are idiotic... I trust what they charge people with about as much as I trust politicians ๐คช
@xephael I agree!!!!!!!
@TheParamedicGamer yea i agreed with your point about curfew
Prosecutors are far more involved in politics in the legal system.
As they're linked to DAs.
Who are elected.
> Rittenhouse has legal aid offered by GOA (gun owners of america) and they're not exactly dolts
@xephael Go listen to Barnes on Frei, he rants about the lawyers in charge
Exception being federal prosecutors iirc
I need links to these videos ladies and gents haha
I am actually taking my lsat in January with hopes of becoming a prosecutor itโs the single most powerful position in the legal system when you look at the weight of a persons life being in someoneโs hands. Thereโs room for discretion and alternative sentences Iโve yet to see executed from my local commonwealth attorney
But that's also why federal prosecutors have massive conviction rates.
Because they're far more thorough and unbiased imo.
Maw the Fox, just mentioned
thanks for moderating ๐
I am of the unpopular opinion that all Democrats should become libertarians or join the Green Party.
Anytime! :D
Maw I agree.
Yas gypsy!!! I feel a lot more people would identify libertarian if they understood it better
SDNY is railed on by Barnes
There are always exceptions to the rule.
I'm talking the mean federal prosecutor.
@LrnAshly well I hope you are successful, the government needs more employees who believe in small government!
SDNY put Frei's show in a legal document trying to convince the court to gag someone, and using Frei's show as an example of information getting out of hand. Next day, Frei's show blew up. Robert has to figure out how to get mentioned in SDNY filings.
And effective government
@realz I found Frei cause I was watching Legal Eagle. I am not a lawyer but I suspected he was misleading people on the law. So I searched โlegal eagle wrongโ and Viva popped up first. Subscribed lol
lol
unfortunately there are not a lot of lawyers on the internet discussing politics
Well law isn't something that is handled by robots, so there is always going to be a lawyer who is wrong in a case.
there are some other good ones, but they stay away from politics like the plague
alas there are no left wing lawyers that I know of, aside from Legal Eagle recently (that discuss politics)
Legal Eagle doesn't cover everything, only the things he picks
There are quite a few.
Don't you worry. lol
so no Rittenhouse discussion by a left wing lawyer
if you have a Rittenhouse discussion by a left wing lawyer, please please link
No one covers everything. It's literally impossible.
Left-wing lawyers will talk about what Ashley talked about earlier.
Rittenhouse was violating the law at the time, etc.
but left wing lawyers get these guys off the hook all the time for carrying illegally but using self defense
lol
๐คฆโโ๏ธ
link plx
Start of pandemic my legal literacy is Matlock. Then I followed Lheto, Viva, Uncivil, R&R, Nate, and some LEO and 1st Amendment Auditors.
Now, my legal literacy is: NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE.
Thatโs it. That all I know.
No argument there.
I collect lawyer channels
I can't even recall.
๐ฆ
`Lheto` is awesome
but not political
I bet Nate the Lawyer covered Rittenhouse
`Nate` closest to left, but not left
Leonard French is left-wing or center-left, but I don't think he's covered Rittenhouse.
Heโs liberal
self defense.
He mostly works with civil suits.
he called himself centrist recently
`NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE` the video titled with this title is the best
and that lawyer is amazing
