I would be happy if we manage to not regress any further...
Depends whoโs steering the nation.
That's what I was afraid of.
Like the morning sun you come and like the wind you go...
If the entire nation followed the Great Law of Peace, life would be better. Take for example section 107 which states that, if one leaves thieir home, place a slanting stick upon the home. This is to identify that no one is present and no one who is not entitled to enter, day or night, if forbidden to enter.
I actually do this, though no one around here probably knows it
I think thatโs a fair assessment. Whatโs got me curious is whether there will be backlash on these (primarily) dem politicians who changed some election rules in the past few months. Thatโs what seems sketchy to me.
One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter?
That's idealistic and more likely to occur in the Nature realm of things. That could work for those who head out of the city structure, systems of work, taxation and live off the land.
I think that both sides made changes - Raffensberger in GA made accommodations for the pandemic and the PA Rep led legislature passed Act 77. Most of them were acting to make it easier to vote - especially during this time. I think that's a good thing.
Eh, it remains to be seen whether those changes were truly beneficial. The WI case (I believe) where the guy (his name is escaping me) posted on Facebook guiding people through the loophole to avoid ID seemed questionable at the very least.
Showing an id to vote is a pretty low bar IMO.
To this day, the Six Nations, still honor and practice the Great Law. Even the Treaty of Canandaigua of 1794 is still in effect and honored by the U.S. I'm not certain but believe it is one on the longest standing treaties in existance.
Yes these were last minute changes, could be for the purpose of easier voting, however perhaps some of the changes did not follow original protocols as written in county procedures. Or changes were made for "other" reasons to win at all costs.
I havenโt heard much about the Raffensburg changes. Iโll have to do some googling I suppose. The question is whether the changes conflict with preexisting laws. That case seems to be the strongest yet.
Interesting on the Six Nations and Great Law. Will need to research this further online
use phrenology for id purposes, many data points
gn all, enjoy the discussions
Anybody familiar with the work of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn?
@TW20 Note that Lacrosse is very popular among the Six Nations, as it originated from the Haudenosaunee
I don't think that was the point. I think they assume that most are older and might not have the means/ability to scan in their ID and submit it. I have been trying to see if I can see what the WI requirements and procedures are... because I also wanted to see if it was possible to change the mailing address, because it occurred to me that they might not for an IC, because they are specifically asking since they are home. If they can't specify a different address, then what the hell are they complaining about.
It is said, jokingly, that the women do all the work and all the men do is play lacrosse LOL
Fantastic point if true
@Bey Didn't the eldest woman in the village determine which male would represent them in the Great Council? It's been a while so I might be misremembering.
The council of women select the chief
There are a coucil of women and a council of men
but the women are the ones who make the political decisions
when the council of women make a decicion, it is relayed to the council of men to have them execute their decision.
the Haudenosaunee are a matriarchal society
unlike the way the American system is, decisions must be unaminous
Andrew yang ?
Have you heard the saying that a single arrow breaks easy, but a bundle of arrows are strong and do not break? That comes from the Great Law of Peace, where each arrow represents one of the Six Nations.
We have crypto Neo Con kleptocrat Uncle Joe the future looks bright.
We gotta wear shades?
Thanksgiving originated with the Haudenosaunee and still practiced, but there are many thanksgivings.
And the Three Sisters... corn, squash and beans.
We need some more Wars
Didn't you say only barbarians use firearms?
What about the Great Leap forward?
And yet you say more Wars are needed...
Only government should possess weapons of war
Like China and North Korea?
If they're running lines of credit to pay for it
Yes
And Nazi Germany? The first step in conquering the People is to disarm them.
How about poverty and homelessness?
Intolerance?
An unarmed People begets Tyranny
I'm driving I can't really answer that question
And, governments are instituted by the People and can only rule with the consent of the governed.
War on Poverty? War on Homelessness? War on Intolerance?
If governments rule over the People, they are Kings.
If the People rule over the Government, they are servants.
Proletariat farmer looks great on the resume
Do you believe it is better for governments to rule for their own interests or for the interests of the People?
Pseudo benevolent patriarchal structure seems much more appealing
What if the corporations rule the people through the government?
That's the system we have
Are you aware that the Revolutionary War finally kicked off when the British decided to come for the firearms? If it wasn't for the Colonists keeping and bearing arms, the United States of America would not exist. We'd be living in a British Colony or a nation subject to the Queen, such as Canada.
Will be given real war.
You believe I don't know that?
You believe only governments should be armed.
imagine the massive overpopulation of deer, wild hogs, coyote, etc without firearms and hunting...
A ubi should be given for mandatory State militia service for life
Look what happened in China when Mao led his people and disarmed the popluation. An estimated 60 million were murdered.
@Bey, you just advanced to level 12!
Any weapon that you're certified on can be possess....
And I mean any weapon
Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in the world... and it is a law there that every family be armed.
I'm aware
State militia service should also be tied in with the educational system
If militias are government operated, they are no longer militias, but armies.
Switzerland creates educated young people per corporations requirements
State militias
This isn't a nuanced discussion about what is
This is about what should be
The meaning and intent at the time of the 2nd Amendment was a militia was composed of able-bodied citizens that gathered with arms between a specific age range.
Also in about the 10th grade and Switzerland you start Apprentice in your chosen path way
The intent was to stand against a tyrannical gov't
Such as, at that time, the British Crown.
Apparently you haven't read what
I posted
yes, I have
But the United States is not Switzerland.
Any weapon you are certified on can be possessed
Switzerland good stats
but you also stated that only barbarians possess weapons
I was trolling you buddy
I have more ideas about the lifelong militia service requirement and what it can do for peace
well, I believe only chimpanzees should be armed...
Okay I'm done
For now
oh wow! almost 3 am! better get some sleep! g'night!
G's us loves Jose malverde
... no sleep for the wicked

Another media source starting to use some critical thinking skills and offer objective reporting... https://www.lawofficer.com/this-is-why-republicans-believe-the-election-was-stolen/ maybe journalism isn't completely dead after all.
