Once we begin drilling, the morning of, at around 6-7 a.m., I am going to pass that off to you guys. I will of course be present, but I will likely need to run around and brief the camera team, first aid staff, drivers, scribes, etc.

So I want to update the vetting procedures and Intermediates are going to have to be re-vetted as an overall precaution. Unless there's some unique circumstances. I don't want to take any chances.

What are your thoughts on networks becoming familiar with basic convoy procedures?

I think the solution is either more radios or org-owned burner phones that are pre-set up for security.

I do worry about a 30-car convoy being able to stick together in highway traffic. Maybe we could section it into smaller clusters.

Also there's the issue of practice. It would be challenging, but not impossible, to drill these matters widespread.

Oh, fire sure. Clusters of 4 or 5 vehicles would be ideal with a lead. Each cluster on their own channel. This could cut phone use down 75%. Only highly trusted members will be cluster leads( ND’s, NQ’s, and NS’s). Org burner phones is a good idea as well.

I think we all appreciate a challenge. It’s really not that difficult, honestly. Plus, it’s fun.

I’m going to instruct the AL/GA region to purchase their own personal radios. I plan on running these exercises within the next 3 months

We're going to have a few smaller demos soon for the M4L events. Tighter, lower tempo. We can try burners for one and radios for another regarding the VE, perhaps. A&B test.
