I think europe is done with trying to reform the EU. It's time they leave it to brussels

Trump doesn't care about the UK, he cares about what it can benefit the US
and in general they have a weaker bargaining position alone than the eu has as a whole
which means brexit is good for the us
Yeah he does care about United States more than other nations, but it doesn't mean he doesn't care for UK.
good UK is good for US, hence he wants whats best for them

Trump cares for a strong UK, if a strong UK is beneficial to the US economy,
If he can trade with the UK 1 on 1, he can get the best refined deals, and have a strong trade ally
Hence he wants them seperate, and succesful, cuz that is simply most beneficial for the US
all his deals have all been about making deals that benefit the US more
His twitter barrages, and trade war rethoric have served to damage the strength of other nations, including EU nations, Canada and Mexico
So they'd be put in a weaker spot to make US-beneficial new deals
Trump also likes market economies
he can negotiate with those
instead of threaten
