He dosen't get it. Listen to his language. He hasn't thought past 'stop calling everyone a racist'. What happens after that, they have to engage, then they are are going to either have to admit they are wrong (not going to happen) or go back to shouting 'racist'. Secondly when he talks about 'tactics', It's not the ideas he thinks are wrong, it's just that going around and rioting doesn't look good. Which takes us back to point one.

If the left has full control of all forms of media they don't have to worry about their crappy ideas being challenged. Therefore they don't need to fall back on the 'ism' card, or starting calling everyone 'ists'

If you disagree they don't have to insult you. They can just memoryhole you.

I dunno the thing for me is that even if he may not be aware that his ideas are bad, he is at the very least aware of what is inciting the people against his ideas, even among the left.

Well said Timcast. I am not looking forward to the future in 10 years if all the left heavily relying on identarian type policies and ideology.

If the left gains power that's what we are going to get. Everyone should want the overton window to stay in the center but the only way for that to happen is to keep them out of office.

Arguably, if they get into power, that's a good sign the culture's too far gone as it is.

If the left goes down the identitarian route, the right wing may also do the same

The notion that you can never overcome racial politics is a core assumption of Social Justice.

It's as if this is all a big prisoners dilemma. You can overcome racism but only until someone picks betray. Sometime around 2010 in Colorado, the Democrats ran on identity politics and managed to win in a very down year. They then made it central to their strategy going forward. Obama made speeches in support of Social Justice and pushed through bills to enforce it in places in government.

Now it seems it has all spiraled out of control. The problem is that it works. It worked in communism and it worked in fascism--both descend from Hegel--and it seems to be coming back.

And the result is a net loss for everyone.
