I don't know what that'll look like, but 'right wing identitarianism' doesn't look like conservatism to me.
The notion that you can never overcome racial politics is a core assumption of Social Justice.
It's as if this is all a big prisoners dilemma. You can overcome racism but only until someone picks betray. Sometime around 2010 in Colorado, the Democrats ran on identity politics and managed to win in a very down year. They then made it central to their strategy going forward. Obama made speeches in support of Social Justice and pushed through bills to enforce it in places in government.
Now it seems it has all spiraled out of control. The problem is that it works. It worked in communism and it worked in fascism--both descend from Hegel--and it seems to be coming back.
And the result is a net loss for everyone.
It ain't libertarian either
Yeah, it's all really distressing.
Like I said before, I've not heard a good argument as to how Richard Spencer is a rightie
The problem, IMO, is the left/right divide to begin with.
Which is also why I find left and right arbitrary
It's too coarse to be useful.
It's so vague
It kind of is.
It is. And it's not even consistent with time.
I know
But even so, Hitler was considered an authoritarian centrist at best.
not 'Far Right'
He also hates the foundational values of America
Incl free speech
I guess that's why he's "alt" right
The Alt is Latin for "Not Really" :^)
He adopted the racial obsession of the far right
And socialism from the far left
Is the right specifically racially obsessed?
Racial obsession isn't only a far right thing.
And I believe he wants an arostocracy?
I mean, of course he does.
With a king?
He talks and dresses like a damned aristocrat.
He fancies himself a nobleman.
And that's far right as well
Like that bald hyper capitalist monarchist polish dude
With a bowtie
I don't think the left right divide is entirely useless, its just that america has a different version,
What utility does it have that specific ideological labels don't have and execute better?
Personally, I see it as -
Communism/Marxism far left.
Monarchism/Theocracy far right
That's a false dichotomy though
And that's the thing, either you're sandwiching multiple often conflicting and contradictory ideas into one "side"
Or you're creating a false dichotomy
And you're allowing nutjobs to adopt generic labels instead of having them say what they really think
It helps in categorizing people. Especially in a two party state
Europ isn't that way
