the machine arms are property of the company
but in this case
The company can't say "You can't use them for building things, they're our machines"
so everyone is entitled to use them when the means of production belongs to the workers
You could legally walk into a factory and use it to build your own thing
No private property basically
Oh I see...
Well that would lead to a very different answer than what I put lol
😛
the basic idea of it is the socialist dream, where whatever is produced will not be SOLD for profit, but be given to those in need
Okay what about this one
"Children should be educated in religious or traditional values." - I would want children to be educated in as many major religions and as many traditions as possible from a humanities / world history perspective. But I would not want a school saying children should believe x, y , or z as their personal religion.
so would that be an agree or a disagree?
i'd go with the former, that its to just educate them, teach them
But not force it on them
Alright thanks. 😄 I have to take my wife to work, brb in about 20 minutes
oki
back and I hate questions like this because it's so situational.
"We should open our borders to immigration."
I think a country that cannot support its current population does the world a disservice by accepting immigrants - and should probably be supporting emigration. On the other hand, a country of abundance should permit immigration.
So do I put agree or disagree? If I assume it is talking about today, right now, then I guess I have to put disagree because we cannot guarantee safety and a quality standard of living to immigrants with all of the civil unrest in the western region of the country, lack of opportunity in central-US, cost of living in north eastern US, and population growth in the south-eastern US. But that can all change in a matter of weeks... Maybe I should just put unsure...
Anyway... I scored "Centrist" (at least I think the Centrist is the score and not the subtitle)
I guess that's why I like Tim's channel so much 😄
So i see the biggest arguement from the left being that so many of our ancestors came here as immigrants. We have had Ellis Island in the past for people to come in and become citizens. Maybe i am just nieve here, but what about opening a new version of that somewhere. A Place the people wanting to become citizens can go to and start the process officially. Just curious what people think of that and if it sounds like a crazy idea.
im not sure to be honest, ill ask the all seeing google real quick
My understanding is that locations exist for immigrants can request asylum.
only articles i can find quickly are rather old but looks like not
ya and asylum is one thing, but legal immigration is another thing
Yknow, I just had a thought; if a peaceful event held on private property gets cancelled due to threats/pressure from activist groups, I think the activist group should be responsible for reimbursing the venue, the event-holder and the event-goers
The bigger issue is that the left considers "illegal aliens/immigrants" hate speech
you arent wrong hops
Accusing anyone of hate is pretty dangerous thinking, in my opinion.
cipher, i think that idea would get made, but you would never get money out of antifa... no direct group to request the money from
So the people following the rules and the people breaking them are lumped together
agreed hops
and as someone with more than a few friends with legal immigrant status, i dont think its fair to the people that went through the process
I do think that the system may need to be modified...but I'd have to understand the system better
to me, it feels like Trump is Daring the system to change. an instead everyone is sitting back and doing nothing
he asks for the laws to be enforced, and then says go change the laws
to me it always sounded like a dare to the people that want it different. If you want different, go get congress to make it different because they are who can actually change the laws
I've just heard it can take years to go through the process and I don't think the average American could pass the tests they need to take
ya i have heard that as well
i do agree we need to revamp the process
Well it's true, Hops, the average american can't because teaching american history is racist.
