that i admittedly dont know to much about. Though i will say, i wont defend any mental health institutions. Both hitler and stalin locked up most people for being mentaly ill, modern people in the US often want to deny the "mentaly ill" their second amendment rights, psychology is a scam

Well it is a lot more complicated than that, since the 1950's as the State mental hospitals have been shut down and prisons have taken over the roll, there is no argueing that violent crime has gone up across the western world

We still lock up people who are a danger to themselves or others in germany for example.

In many cases particularly in the US and Canada, people who would have been locked up in a hospital have been put in private prisons after they commit violent crimes.

Can confirm that there are gun owners in the US who do not seek treatment for mental health issues because they know it will bar them from being able to own guns

And thats another reason why it shouldnt bar them from owning a gun

Though most incidents where mentally ill people use guns involve them being stolen from a gun owner rather than the gun owner using it themselves

When I can confirm that there are many people who should seek treatment who don't want to be stigmatized for being treated for mental health problems
