Pegging their Currency to ours aka Debt keeps their currency afloat.

those are the 2 biggest reasons for us as americans

it'd be better for them to rebuild as a free country, though

what would we do while we wait for that to happen though

plus, as long as they're communist, they will have increasing problems (housing situation for normal citizens is terrible there)
