we got bombed
we were staying (sort of) out of it until Japan got dumb
I have a theory that Europe's culture was hurt long term by all the people who valued freedom immigrating to America back in the 18-1900's
@yvaN_ehT_nioJ yeah, but Russia had a huge number of casualties, and their culture went a different path (they did suffer under communism, though)
this isn't a topic I know much about, but why would we want to save the oppressive communist government in China?
it'd be better for them to rebuild as a free country, though
plus, as long as they're communist, they will have increasing problems (housing situation for normal citizens is terrible there)
I guess it feels like a dick move to prop up the communist government for our own benefit
people are really suffering there, and the usual way communism gets overthrown has been for it to collapse economically
anyways, gotta afk, unfortunately
they own all the land
she's wearing makeup
pretty sure that's mascara
creators are for-profit
would the creator have to incorporate or something?
are superchats tax deductible? lol
@Grenade123 idk, came in part way through the conversation xP
yeah, so if the superchat is a "donation to charity," aka the creator, then wouldn't it be tax-deductible?
I know, but I was talking about if the creator was considered a charity
and yeah, I don't know how it's legal to arbitrarily take money someone gave for one thing and turn around and give it to something else
yeah, prob not worth writing off, just thought it was funny, I guess
that should def. be illegal
things can be in a tos and still be ruled illegal
like, if your lease has something illegal in it, it doesn't stand up in court, even if you signed it
we really need more judges that "get" the internet
omg yes
did you listen to the Facebook hearing? so cringe
I just kept picturing his lawyer yelling at him after xP
he took responsibility for content
maybe instead of a gofundme, you need a legal defense org
there are some orgs like that for other, very specific issues (like gun owners and homeschoolers)
run by lawyers
it could even make Google more wary about messing with people
there's a YouTuber who does legal videos, would be interesting to get his thoughts (can't remember his channel name, gah)
yeah, that's the guy
my husband really likes his videos
it's in the US, though, not England
are they missing the line between Chris Ray Gun and Rubin?
they weighted "debates and disagreements" the same as having positive connections
like, by this logic, Trump is connected to CNN
my mom called me a monkey all the time when I was a kid
it's a great way to have a miserable life
because destroying something is a way to control it
I mean, Rogan's had on a LOT of people
Tulsi Gabbard was just on (spelling??)
haven't had a chance to watch it yet
not 100% sure I want to, but curiosity will likely get the best of me
I don't think he's an easy target
he's been doing this for awhile, and he knows a lot of people
lol, that, too xP
Rubin does take some heat
we got married fairly young, worked out quite nicely
I'd say marry young, wait a few years to have kids; have a solid foundation for your relationship
plus, the non-feminist ladies are usually looking younger, so you're more likely to find them then
I think it helps a marriage if you finish that growing up together - helps you grow in more compatible ways
when you're older, you're less flexible
relationships are a choice, not an accident
you have to decide to be all in; it really changes your mindset
both have to
lol
I've got many relatives that have been married decades, most married young; nearly all gave me the advice to that marriage is about commitment, not just attraction
๐ over ten years and it just keeps getting better :)
we agreed from the beginning that divorce was off the table
no, but there are things that can affect the outcome
open communication being one of the biggest
I guess I'm just saying that it's not as random chance as people tend to think, but I do want to be careful here to not insult anyone who's had problems :/
our early relationship was a lot of arguing - we both have strong personalities - but we worked through it, and I hate to see how some people (not saying you, just people in general) give up instead of fighting, and just wait for the magical "perfect" person to come along
no one is perfect, everyone will disappoint you, you just gotta find someone who will stubborn it out with you
the longer you're together, the better you know each other, the easier it gets
@Schedrevka lol
@brunobronosky I'm sorry your experience was so crappy :/
are you bored?
yeah
:(
omg fleas suck
lol
the vacuum is your friend
and also all the pesticides
the bowl of water under a light doesn't do much
idk, didn't have the fleas here, but visited my parents when they had a problem
my sister + outdoor cats
it's easier to deal with if the animals are outside
one thing to know is that the eggs can keep hatching for months, but you can mostly get them with the vacuum
isk about all flea types, but the ones that like cats actually need to feed on a cat on order to lay eggs
so if they're cut off from their food source, it's easier to get rid of them
wow
the flea drops would probably be your best bet, but they're pricy
flea baths did help with the outdoor cats, but idk how often you have to do that
I've heard good stuff about diatomaceous earth, but never tried it
it's possible you can have technically solved the problem, but still have hatching eggs
vacuum is the best for eggs; they just fall off of pets and lay on top of the floor
good luck, bug infestations are the worst
had a pantry pest problem a couple moves ago; it was about a year before I bought flour again
yikes
these were tiny flightless beetles, found my stash of cocoa in the summer and had a grand time
didn't notice until we got home from a trip and had left the ac turned down
bugs hate cold, btw, that helps slow 'em down
