spooks me that radicals got normalized in colleges

2018-09-24 08:41:31 UTC

They count the bombings as far right for some reason

2018-09-24 08:41:44 UTC

Like the ones targeted at those "abortion centers"

2018-09-24 09:33:59 UTC

radicals always get normalized in college,

because college is for exploring ideas regardless of if they work. AND college is full of young impressionable people who believe their teachers are all the masters who part their knowledge with them,

2018-09-24 09:35:15 UTC

So you get people told to think about supposed "Great ideas" like socialism, and methods of "Planning" society etc, and theres no wrong answers

Hence you get ideas that sound great, but are unable to work in reality

2018-09-24 09:36:30 UTC

-A society where theres no government, and everyone does what they want for work, they share and are all equal, and everyone can live and enjoy themselves

-A society where theres no government, and people can become succesful and powerful by their own work, if they're smart enough they can make it happen!

etc

2018-09-24 09:36:34 UTC

"Ideas that sound great"
Top communist propaganda kek

2018-09-24 09:36:42 UTC

College is about exploring ideas...? Huh?

2018-09-24 09:37:16 UTC

@Jasse Thats what they sell it under 😄

but in Reality, it doesn't work, its tried, tested and failed every time

2018-09-24 09:38:10 UTC

and yes Paradox, its about exploring ideas without it having a chance to fail

ofc nowadays its also a risk if you just have the wrong ideas to explore, thats baaaaaad 😛

2018-09-24 09:47:45 UTC

@Ottobon According to Haidt, it was exactly like this in the 70s

2018-09-24 09:48:08 UTC

Except the colleges were way worse

2018-09-24 09:52:12 UTC

The problem is only specific ideas are explored

2018-09-24 09:52:49 UTC

and some are actively lied about

2018-09-24 10:44:43 UTC

Don't forget that the MSM is considering Avenatti to be a potential Democrat candidate in 2020

2018-09-24 10:50:49 UTC

Fighting terrorism with the right words

2018-09-24 10:51:08 UTC

2018-09-24 10:53:06 UTC

The word “caliphate” gives false legitimacy as it is not a state, and should be replaced with “Daesh-held territory” it advises. It also warns care over using words such as “jihad”, “jihadi”, and “jihadi bride” which often ignore the complex religious meanings of jihad. “If reporting insists on its usage, ensure it is distinguished as ‘violent jihad’,” it states.

2018-09-24 10:53:25 UTC

Tfw not participating in non violent jihad

2018-09-24 10:53:29 UTC

😄

2018-09-24 10:53:52 UTC

Thats like the alt rights non violent ethnic cleansing meme

2018-09-24 10:55:07 UTC

This is such a postmodernish aproach

2018-09-24 10:55:10 UTC

Yikes

2018-09-24 11:02:49 UTC

🤦

2018-09-24 11:15:06 UTC

well, thing is, if we don't do something now, we loose our chance for a non violent approach

2018-09-24 11:16:21 UTC

considering jihadists want us all dead, we're already past that point

2018-09-24 11:16:37 UTC

now now Zutt, I like Daesh Held Territory..only because it reminds me of the Kurdish song that made fun of ISIS

2018-09-24 11:16:51 UTC

@Dr.Wol they don't kill us (yet), so there is still hope

2018-09-24 11:16:54 UTC

we could deport them

2018-09-24 11:17:14 UTC

something something Trucks of peace

2018-09-24 11:17:58 UTC

True and its happening on a regular basis every couple of weeks or months. But it is still possible to round them up, put them in a C130 and bring them over to where they came from

2018-09-24 11:19:20 UTC

possible, sure

Will it be done, the past has a poor track record in Europe

2018-09-24 11:19:55 UTC

No, because our politicians are in female-mother mode, who are protecting foreign people more than the indiginous people

2018-09-24 11:20:31 UTC

that too

2018-09-24 11:21:01 UTC

When they tell the population "this is not a time for hate, we must not be racist", after some migrants kill an indiginous person, things are totally fucked up

2018-09-24 11:21:24 UTC

but in Europe there have been many-a cases where they declared some people are set for deportation, and then pardonned them say "Well, they've been here for 4-5 years, they're slowly integrating and learning the language, so lets just keep them here"

2018-09-24 11:22:11 UTC

i agree with u guys, but... i think its the wrong way to approach these issues (when talking to people you or i would dissagree with, i mean)
i am interested in how this could work, hypothetically,
so muslims in the west, how should they act? how should they adapt to the culture? should they adapt? why? why not?
there are some things in islamic culture that are opposed to values in the western culture, like the praying, and the views on women and minorities, and well... enlightenment values really, seperating religion from state, respecting other religions worldviews etc...

2018-09-24 11:23:00 UTC

Aghost have you heard the old saying ?

2018-09-24 11:23:24 UTC

```there are some things in islamic culture that are opposed to values in the western culture, ```
No, its everything!
There is no common ground with Muslims. THAT is the Problem.
