Yes
Okay, that helps
That's my take anyway
And abortion was just a bi-product of it
If I thought strongly 1 way or another that a. abortion was murder or b.abortion wasn't murder I wouldn't want its legality decided by arbitrary state law
I'm a centrist reformist though
Death penalty is state by state
Mileage may vary
So I think maybe abortion should be controlled a bit more with federal guidelines and states hold up a bit. But it now seems clearer roe v wade was a states rights issue in the end
Roe vs Wade is entirely predicated on privacy
The Court ruled 7–2 that a right to privacy under the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment extended to a woman's decision to have an abortion

Okay so I think I remember within their home they talked about abortions with women?
basically yeah, and the third trimester thing is because that is when a woman starts to "show" and it becomes public.
I can see why evangelicals on one side hold their stance on that issue and why many feminists hold their opposite stance. It's 1 of the few issues i can see why both sides wouldn't want to comprimise an inch
well Abortion is a state's issue.
I'm opposed to abortion because I see the need for it as a symptom of hedonism.
And I dislike hedonism.
I am opposed to it personally, but 10th amendment is the 10th amendment and if a state votes to legalize it
We are all human here, except you @Mee6 @YAGPDB.xyz & @Scarecrow
Most people can only count to two.
some can count to 4 but for some reason 3 disappears.
tbh its not even hedonism that leads to abortion is freakin laziness and stupidity. how hard it is not to *** anyone unless they wear a condom,or use birth control and absent that take a morning after pill you have unprotected sex. It's cheaper and has less physical side effects to have a morning after pill then get an abortion
but shout your abortion culture /s
I think this is what is confusing to me: “After two years of hearing evidence, the Court invalidated the Texas law by a 7-2 vote. Using the same reasoning as the Griswold v. Connecticut decision, the majority of the justices maintained that a right to privacy was implied by the Ninth and Fourteenth Amendments. No state could restrict abortions during the first three months, or trimester, of a pregnancy.”

Promiscuity is a subset of hedonism.
It's rarely healthy couples that get abortions
Birth in the dictionary implies leaving off the womb
So if you changed the meaning of born then you’d have to alter abortion law
Consider the differences between miscarriage and stillbirth. I forget where the line is, but they're classified differently.
the right isn't at good as the left at changing definitions
Totally
Right is more set in stone
What do you call a black woman who's had 5 abortions? A crime fighter!
because why change a meaning when you can change the word.
Left pushes boundries, the right hold us steady
@halfthink wasn't there a freakonomics thing that actually made that point.
I’m fine with you taking BC pills, hell, snort them
Anyway I’m gone thanks for the conversation about that
