Then you've earned it
<:NPC:500042527231967262>
then you're okay, cuz you try to compensate / reluctantly accept it
There. I did something constructive today.
thats what its FOR technically 😛
i love this
If I wasn't disabled, I would be working. I want to work...
But I am a liability and I am turned down all the time, I found out why from a government worker.
well the safety net is for people like you, I can accept paying for that
personally I take issue with people who are like "I stubbed my toe, gimme money"
mind you im not american so i don't pay for you
i dont have a horse in this race 😛
It sucks feeling worthless.
Listen, it's okay to be disabled and getting benefits. You help your community in some way, and if you can find other ways, do it; even if it's just volunteer work, it shows that you're giving back to the people who give to you.
Because I am in this situation, I feel worthless and depressed all the time. -_-
look, you try to compensate for it,
Theres people in less of a bad spot, and they want more
I wish people hiring give me a job, even if it is something small.
you shouldn't feel bad for trying, despite not having to
Those **white** men playing drums and copying the avatar things from that movie avatar are objectifying indigenous people species culture!
Any options for volunteering?
Totally google it
I am hard of hearing, severe neck injury (Large chance of becoming paralyzed,) and chronic migraines play havoc on me.
migraines are fucked 😦
Oh god that's rough
That’s what you get for playing a Unity engine game retard
i one every now and then, absolutely destroys my productivity for the rest of the day
Yeah it is painful, but I was told I am a liability because I can become paralyzed if I make a mistake.
@Tress When my grandmother was on welfare back in the ‘60s, she did things at a local school to “earn her keep”, as it were.
Finish snapping my neck.
Unity?! Who uses unity engine?! START THE HELICOPTERS
Do modern welfare recipients feel that same obligation to pay their debt back to society?
I been hard of hearing all my life... the chronic migraines and neck injury is a recent thing.
Not many I know.
They feel like it is owed to them.
... Okay. This may be an odd thing but how about knitting? Make some clothes. Blankets. Anything like that.
I never learned how to knitt.
I can do things with computers on the other hand.
But I need to get up every 2 to 3 hours.
Take a break and let my migraine rest.
ouch 😦
Almost every job out there requires me to do it straight for 6 to 8 hours.
So that can't work, I can't take a break and I would slowly break down into unable to do anything.
