Nice.

2020-03-14 22:28:09 UTC

Get a decent barrel, and be careful on the weight, that's pretty much the biggest source of pounds.

2020-03-14 22:28:20 UTC

What length you going?

2020-03-14 22:28:52 UTC

Idk, i guess carbine would work, what's that like 16?

2020-03-14 22:29:28 UTC

I got 7.5"

2020-03-14 22:29:43 UTC

Mine is a pistol/carbine

2020-03-14 22:29:53 UTC

Yeah. You can also do 14.5"with a pinned and welded muzzle device to get a shorter barrel without paying the feds to SBR.

2020-03-14 22:30:29 UTC

I'll just go compliant....i need to prep fast shit feels like it's about to hit the fan

2020-03-14 22:30:34 UTC

Unless it's specifically for a DMR role, not a main battle rifle, then I would never go over 16"

2020-03-14 22:31:02 UTC

Like I said tho, you can be compliant with a pinned and welded flash hider or brake.

2020-03-14 22:31:56 UTC

Yea, that requires more money than i have....i have a welder but it's out of juice..well....metal to melt with the fuel

2020-03-14 22:32:10 UTC

You get the idea

2020-03-14 22:41:51 UTC

I've heard they are great

2020-03-14 22:45:53 UTC

This will bring a 13.7" barrel up to legal length when pinned and welded.

2020-03-14 22:46:06 UTC

Which should be done by a gun smith for record.

2020-03-15 00:05:00 UTC

Which would be nice if i could find one.

2020-03-15 00:18:02 UTC

True

2020-03-15 00:48:58 UTC

Pinning and welding isn't too hard to do. Worst part is welding, but doesn't have to be a big weld.

2020-03-15 04:49:31 UTC

Saaaaaale

2020-03-15 04:56:21 UTC

ooooo

2020-03-15 04:56:23 UTC

tempted

2020-03-15 04:56:29 UTC

coilovers or armor....

2020-03-15 04:57:46 UTC

Can coilovers reliably stop 7.62 from penetrating your chest and back?

2020-03-15 05:03:47 UTC

That sale's pretty solid, but that lead time, sheesh haha. 8-10 weeks minimum

2020-03-15 05:10:53 UTC

🤷

2020-03-15 05:13:47 UTC

Unfortunately not sponsored, but you can snag a pair of Battle Steel level IV ceramics for $200, takes about a week to get to you unless they're swamped

2020-03-15 05:14:56 UTC

As for carriers, Evike.com for cheapies

2020-03-15 05:15:19 UTC
2020-03-15 05:15:52 UTC

Yeah! One sec

2020-03-15 05:19:25 UTC

That's very similar to the carrier I've had for years

2020-03-15 05:22:08 UTC

thats my carrier

2020-03-15 05:22:11 UTC

just need plates

2020-03-15 05:25:11 UTC

Nice! It'll fit them thicker plates even with trauma pads, but they aren't a necessity with ceramic imo

2020-03-20 04:14:23 UTC

Anyone know where I can get some new/sealed 40mm gas mask filters?
