My stance on transgender people is that they have gender dysphoria and the way our society is currently handling it is with transitioning. I think that other avenues should be tried, like hormone balancing or understanding what causes gender dysphoria in the first place. Ideally you would want people comfortable in their own bodies more than changing their bodies to fit their thoughts. Sadly the idea is chastised.

@DrYuriMom That comes down to precedent and fear. There been instances of people who claim to be transgender, using that as a way to gain access to female bathrooms and easier access to their prey. That is what the conservatives are against, they are not against transgenders in general.
