Sounds like she has admitted she and Brett never met. However, if what she originally claimed was meant to be hearsay, maybe she get away unscathed.
I don't even want people to get punished, actually. I am not vindictive. I just want false accusers to STOP.
If scaring her is enough to make her and other accusers think twice, fine. A moral system of punishment, I think, would be least force necessary to correct behavior.
One other thing I am afraid of, though, is that false accusers will only be prosecuted when they point the finger at people in positions of power. The average joe from the street might not end up benefitting from this development at all.
