Or he misspoke and walked his statement back because he realised he was wrong?
Why is it clearly me who was wrong?
because your perpetuating the fake news outrage culture.
Yeah, I'm not sure you're providing a lot to this discussion.
Over the past several days, I'll be honest, I haven't been impressed with your performance.
Basically he was saying that going to far right is not good
"Basically he said something completely different from the words that came out of his mouth."
Dont be misquoting my boi tim pool
Ever heard of looking at something beneath the surface?
"Words mean what I say they mean."
Everyone makes mistakes sometimes
You're right. I forgive you.
Now, is there any other topic?
<:TimThink:482277772497125378>
I didnt make a mistake
A shocking claim.
I thought his phrasing in that video was pretty shit
Using a line out of context is not proof of anything dude.
Then watch the video. I don't want to continue this conversation with you, I see little to no value in it.
Also no one is perfect. Tim did not mean exactly what he said. As referenced by the words later in the video.
Tim pool was saying the meritocracy should be the basis of a system, but it should not be the only factor
Maybe he should write scripts then
Yes, far better explanation.
He can be a bit rough when he's off the cuff.
While a persons achievements should hold the most weight, other factors should be taken into account as well
That's what he meant by it
So, you would say Tim does in fact support meritocracy, but believes that wealth should be taken from those who earn a lot to benefit those who earn little.
As soon as you start taking other factors into account, its not merit based anymore
@Walsp because energia buran is state sponsored system and each kg has a cost duuh
also objectively better system than shuttle program
Tim explained exactly what he meant by this with an example.
Not wealth
I would guess much more like a personal statement to a college when it comes to a hiring process
"here were my struggles in life" type of thing
So, like the current bias practices, but with class instead of race?
Again, no.
Something akin to that, I would assume
not exactly
Like i said above, the instant you factor in other factors, its not merit based anymore. It can't be.
Modern day runs on the assumption all people of a certain race face the same struggles
