Its a commitment

2018-11-03 19:16:40 UTC

The way I kinda put it was that people like "falling in love" not "being in love"

2018-11-03 19:16:47 UTC

exactly

2018-11-03 19:16:57 UTC

Love in a comitted relationship is a decision, not a feeling.

2018-11-03 19:17:07 UTC

it takes 2 to tango

2018-11-03 19:17:14 UTC

you fall in love, and after a while the magic runs out, and you just gotta pray you've grown fond enough of the other person to keep going 😄

2018-11-03 19:17:22 UTC

and that they feel the same way

2018-11-03 19:17:35 UTC

The honeymoon period will always end

2018-11-03 19:17:39 UTC

in general the "fire of love" runs out within 5 years, and some make it to 8

2018-11-03 19:18:01 UTC

Mind you the best closure I got was "I fell out of love with you" which was a kick in the throat 😂

2018-11-03 19:18:03 UTC

after that you can still be fond of each other and stay together committed, but burning passion for decades is very rare

2018-11-03 19:18:20 UTC

ok but seriously i dont even know what to search for to find out who is "on the ballot", i dont even know what im voting about

2018-11-03 19:18:44 UTC

What she said was "Now that the emotion is gone, I don't want to commit to this relationship."

2018-11-03 19:18:48 UTC

I can't be much help, in my nations mid-terms i vote for someone who's not establishment and has the funniest name

2018-11-03 19:18:56 UTC

lol

2018-11-03 19:19:16 UTC

Thats not a joke Vesdii, i did it for 2 elections now, and the 3rd one is coming up in 3 weeks

2018-11-03 19:19:19 UTC

I prefer that old quote about relationships. "If your forced to choose between two people in a relationship, choose the second one. Because if you loved the first you would have never fallen for the second"

2018-11-03 19:19:27 UTC

lol

2018-11-03 19:20:14 UTC

Wha? That just seems like a blind trust to passion.

2018-11-03 19:20:24 UTC

I think that's a bit short sighted. It's somewhat natural for people to be attracted to others regardless of a love for someone else.

2018-11-03 19:20:24 UTC

I'd never advise anyone to make a decision on passion.

2018-11-03 19:20:26 UTC

wouldnt that just pit previous infatuation against current infatuation?

2018-11-03 19:20:30 UTC

seems useless

2018-11-03 19:20:45 UTC

It's your responsibility as someone in a relationship to avoid situations where that happens.

2018-11-03 19:21:14 UTC

That's also kinda the point voidsoul

2018-11-03 19:21:29 UTC

find someone who yuo're passionate about, but also has the same long-term goals you want

2018-11-03 19:21:37 UTC

People have replaced the word infatuation with love I'm modern society

2018-11-03 19:21:41 UTC

Someone who's your co-op teammate in real life

2018-11-03 19:21:42 UTC

the same happens with men too in relationships. They (at least the ones I dated / almost dated) believed sex was the deciding factor and without it, there was not point to be together. Because I don't care to have sex 'til marriage *and want to only be with one person* I haven't dated in years. It goes both ways with reasons for breaking up.

2018-11-03 19:22:07 UTC

Nobody told me that limerence is outdated.
