here is the dude's podcast about future shock, so not politics, so if you want to check it out: http://www.thefuturewillnotbepodcast.com/

2018-11-06 02:19:16 UTC

Sweet! Thanks for ending the stream Tim!

2018-11-06 02:19:20 UTC

they used to be apolitical platforms, all of these things used to be, now they are all political, and they should be treated like publishers, i agree with tim on that, because it is the letter of the telcom law

2018-11-06 02:19:36 UTC

ill check it out just cuz its good to have a dialoge

2018-11-06 02:19:44 UTC

publisher status no longer matters

2018-11-06 02:20:03 UTC

"neutral platform" status is irrelevant after new NAFTA

2018-11-06 02:20:05 UTC

My vote since i started:
-Socialist
-Out of the country
-Liberal
-Out of the country
-Pirate-liberal (more libertarian like)
-Center right
-Refused to vote because no party represents anything even close to me

2018-11-06 02:20:21 UTC

If they are set as a publisher does that not open up competition more?

2018-11-06 02:20:27 UTC

how?

2018-11-06 02:20:32 UTC

no, it really doesn't

2018-11-06 02:20:38 UTC

we are all free to compete right now

2018-11-06 02:20:40 UTC

LP until johnson weld, now trump all the way,

2018-11-06 02:20:43 UTC

The left drives people away, while the right accepts them.

2018-11-06 02:20:44 UTC

Period.

2018-11-06 02:21:29 UTC

you cant compete if you are denied access to the medium of exchange

2018-11-06 02:21:33 UTC

The trouble is others rising up to compete, right now they are perceived and treated as a platform without the regulation

2018-11-06 02:21:55 UTC

and how are you denied access to the medium of exchange @Space Bird

2018-11-06 02:21:55 UTC

so many people at that rally

2018-11-06 02:22:01 UTC

@Dusty Morgan this is so true i said early it show how the left is perfectly when tim asked who he should vote for most of the left yelled and the right sat and started to talk

2018-11-06 02:22:17 UTC

Platforms seem to gravitate towards being better when specialized and being the only one

2018-11-06 02:22:36 UTC

holly shit thats alot of people

2018-11-06 02:22:41 UTC

centralized platforms were a conscious choice made 15 years ago or so

2018-11-06 02:22:54 UTC

@paradigm because processors will kick you off if they dont like you, you cannot conduct a digital business vie the mail

2018-11-06 02:22:59 UTC

@devboi I think people are noticing this. The right are more accepting than the left is. Willing to give second chances, forgive, and accept.

2018-11-06 02:23:20 UTC

Publishers tend to have many different groups about similar things

2018-11-06 02:23:27 UTC

so true and thats why i think they are a dieing brand

2018-11-06 02:23:49 UTC

No! I will never forgive you swine for not upvoting my anime meme on Twitter! Don't even try this rhetoric on me.

2018-11-06 02:24:00 UTC

when facebook rose to prominence, peer to peer traffic was a much larger share of traffic than it is now
we could have easily gone decentralized with identity and sharing ("social media")

2018-11-06 02:24:19 UTC

Yeah... that is all over the news.

2018-11-06 02:24:21 UTC

She done fucked up.

2018-11-06 02:24:40 UTC

"the right" where i live consists out of neo-conservatives who have a problem with the north/south situation of the country and how it probably will never be solved, hence a split would be better.
But at the same time theyre happy to go along with the draconian disaster that is the EU.
Other then that they have done the same thing the left has been doing for decades, tax everyone into oblivion and keep on growing the government.
"Welfare is the problem, here we will take action against all those unemployed people with sanctions." Oh my god, theyre taking sanctions! Against the people that make up +-4% of the entire national budget.

Nevermind that +40% of the budget goes to government payroll, nothing to see here people, its those damn unemployed people getting 880€ a month to live off.

2018-11-06 02:24:42 UTC

head lines of 2019 "democrate medeling in the 2018 election" if only...

2018-11-06 02:25:04 UTC

this is what is happening with gab, they were kicked out of payment processors, and are looking for processors in other countries now. but facebook twitter and youtube are free to host child porn, murder, terrorism ect.... but gab cant host conservative speech

2018-11-06 02:25:10 UTC

What is your idea of what social media is?

2018-11-06 02:25:13 UTC

gab is centralized

2018-11-06 02:25:24 UTC

Welfare and state power is the core of the problem.

2018-11-06 02:25:27 UTC

Is it a platform?

2018-11-06 02:25:39 UTC

and gab is not being held responsible legally - they are being made a pariah by other businesses

2018-11-06 02:25:41 UTC

I think Gab is already morphing into a Mastodon platform.
