I thought House and Senate have been R since 2016 until now?
@Rainspector23 they are going to have the majority
that is already decided
No, but if you have a short time with one holding a significant majority, you can affect legislation that can last for decades.
That was my hope.
It isn't even done with the reporting. Neveda that is republican most of the time and Alaska that is republican haven't even come in.
The house and Senate have both been R since 2014
ok well my prediction is still sort of right I guess
I thought Republicans might be able to make a dash for it, as they are going to do with the SCOTUS.
Alask doesn't matter
we will come back stronger than before in 2020 and 2024
dems may flip 4 rep favored
Cat,,
we'll see
@Undead Mockingbird you mean Alaksa
Nevada isn't a red as it used to be
Democrats need 38 more seats while republicans need 48 more seats.
Alaska has <1m people.
so barring something really genuinely crazy happening, dems have it
CA has 40m.
by a +4
HI has two
Sometimes 1 is all it takes
@Undead Mockingbird why would that matter?
CA had like 55
55 Reps yeah
number of reps you mean?
yeah ok
I get you there
That is why I am waiting to the end. We had crazy already happen before.
Why can't it happen again?
then you don't get the math
My concern was always Internet speech. It will be much more uphill now, but we shall see. I was very concerned if Cruz lost as he took the forefront of the issue. But seeing as how that didn't happen, there may be hope. It'll be uphill, but it I think it will be on the docket.
The fact that california has so many reps bothers me a little
I get the math, but I am just watching and keeping a eye out.
It's population.
@Dusty Morgan have at it
