Of course. If the adults would create an abusive or negative living environment for the child, that would be a reason to deny them the privilege.

That is the rub, isn't it? We have things like Child Protection, but their decisions aren't exactly the most trustworthy.
Heterosexual parents still do it. I dont see marshalling for that.
I personally think it is worth looking into the effects of being raised by same sex parents since that's certainly a unique situation for a child to be in and it could or could not be bad for them to not have equal influences of sexes.
However, there is ***no*** solid evidence supporting either side of that argument, so until such rock solid evidence appears I see no issue in same sex parenting.
The answer is, I don't know how to create and maintain a corruption free, impartial organization to oversee that authority.
how about we remove government from marriage except to ensure it occurs only between consenting adults, and leave all other agreements re: property up to individuals.
