So let's figure out at what point it can sense pain.
Done.
I don't necessarily disagree with that standard, UM...life of the mother notwithstanding of course
I think it is abhorrent to abort a child if it can be saved
Women have generally evolved to be mentally children, but legally fuckable due to the demands of sexual selection being onesided on the female's part
Yes, life of mother notwithstanding.
But limits like heartbeat and pain aren't really good enough
Why?
huh? "mentally children"? By evolved, you mean genetically?
Cos pro choice doesn't like that
Lawrence Kohlberg
I don't care what either side likes. If I have to upset both sides, so be it.
See I really don't know :/
I'm literally ignorant
I will follow my own moral standards.
and not by choice
I flat out don't know a good resolution for this problem
I have seen so much bullshit happen, because everybody thought it was okay.
I will never again defer for morality to another person.
I read about something to do with the child gaining conciousness
aborting then and any later is unethical
How about, no abortion if the child can be kept alive separate from the mother
That's too late.
18 weeks now, it will certainly reduce soon
To save an 18wo it will cost millions and likely not be successful. 26wo is about as early as we see any success.
If you already have 4 Children, I'm ok for abortion
But i believe it's more moral than 21 weeks, and feasible enough for both sides to accept
but the first child? NO
But I don't think that potential for life is a good argument, because every egg has a potential for life, given no genetic issues.
By the way, if I can no longer suffer and am just a burden to people, you have permission to get rid of me, too.
That said, I am not averse to using 18wo
I will volunteer for my own moral standards.
As long as a the pregnancy is far enough along that a woman knows she's pregnant, give a cushion beyond that and draw a line. 18wo sounds reasonable.
If the child can be kept separate from the mother, the mother can simply give up the child instead of killing it
Again, exception for life of the mother
Well of course, but that's granted tbh
Alright if you can keep it seperate from the mother sure
but who accepts responsiblity?
for the child I mean
It being the mother's body is not a good argument, though, either. A child is dependent on a caregiver, even after birth. Yet, if you just let your child starve, you are liable.
