My point is that we may have laws requiring the deportation of violent criminals but no law addressing what to do if the country refused to accept thier citizen.
But again, I don't know the law in this area. I suspect, though, that a thorough investigation of this event will yield a hole in the law. Seriously, no judge wants to make a ruling that will be overturned up the chain.
Until someone can provide a lot more information about that Iraq case, we just won't know. But the knee jerk reaction against the judge based on heresay is exactly what Chief Justice Roberts was referring to this week.
