Iron mans energy source is fucked lmao

2019-10-06 19:14:41 UTC

What if you have an exoskeleton on the Inside, you would be cased in an exoskeleton on the inside, only connection would be rods so you could control the armor, and the Skeleton would negate the weight of the armor.

2019-10-06 19:14:45 UTC

I repeat myself

2019-10-06 19:14:50 UTC

I read that

2019-10-06 19:14:53 UTC

And I responded

2019-10-06 19:15:06 UTC

Yeah, really Fallout had the right idea with that

2019-10-06 19:15:11 UTC

A super small nuclear reactor

2019-10-06 19:15:18 UTC

is really the only energy source viable

2019-10-06 19:15:25 UTC

Sadly though the smallest reactors are still like

2019-10-06 19:15:26 UTC

What about submarine batteries?

2019-10-06 19:15:27 UTC

the size of cars

2019-10-06 19:15:29 UTC

at least stable ones

2019-10-06 19:15:37 UTC

Submarine batteries?

2019-10-06 19:15:51 UTC

Some subs run off batteries and they last months

2019-10-06 19:15:54 UTC

I thought most modern subs were powered by a reactor

2019-10-06 19:16:07 UTC

Well my explanation is as simple as I could say it

2019-10-06 19:16:07 UTC

Only certain ones

2019-10-06 19:16:12 UTC

I’m not a pro on batteries

2019-10-06 19:16:41 UTC

I think the only way we could power any suit would be a battery.

2019-10-06 19:16:48 UTC

But they’re still fucking heavy as hell

2019-10-06 19:16:55 UTC

Every thing is so god damn heavy

2019-10-06 19:17:20 UTC

An exo-skeleton could negate the weight, as I said

2019-10-06 19:17:42 UTC

Some tested exoskeletons can withstand several tons.

2019-10-06 19:17:57 UTC

But we’re still trying to figure out how to properly power it, have it absorbs energy, and proper mobility

2019-10-06 19:18:19 UTC

Weight lifting yeah I can see it’s withstand tons

2019-10-06 19:18:36 UTC

But has it been field tested against incoming fire or an IED?

2019-10-06 19:18:58 UTC

Mobility is a huge issue too, if it can't move a lot it's just a fun target for some Hadji with some cold war anti-tank rifle

2019-10-06 19:19:05 UTC

Lol

2019-10-06 19:19:09 UTC

IED's would be an issue still, just like Abrams can still be busted by IEDs.

2019-10-06 19:19:34 UTC

All of this is why even the military can’t figure a solution lmao

2019-10-06 19:19:53 UTC

You need a million parts for mobility, but strong enough to withstand weight and energy transfers

2019-10-06 19:20:07 UTC

We need some of that wakanda metal

2019-10-06 19:20:14 UTC

Ain’t that right Justin

2019-10-06 19:20:15 UTC

This is a u.s. Abrams that was hit by an IED

2019-10-06 19:20:32 UTC

I love this video

2019-10-06 19:20:45 UTC

The Arbams has been modified over the years and can survive a lot of IEDs now

2019-10-06 19:21:06 UTC

They have *bomb proof* transport vehicles now. Basically just a thick metal layer in the bottom. The vehicle is still fucked but you’re not instantly dead anymore

2019-10-06 19:21:09 UTC

Really there's no counter to asymmetric warfare in general though

2019-10-06 19:21:35 UTC

Yeah, I know, but IED's are still by far the most effective weapon against US soldiers, more men are killed by IED's than anything else.
