Sorry what is the kid equivalent to that exactly?
showing ads of sugar rich cereals in a kids cartoon
or marketing vape pens to kids
Are kids addicted to sugar, able to buy sugar and trying to cure themselves of their addiction?
Nice
What a lovely face
if you don't like how something is marketed to kids, don't buy it for them. Then convince others to not buy it.
@Beemann enablers are still the same, and using a psychcologist to exploit a situation is the same regardless
I'm in agreement with you grenade
What's being exploited?
If your kid is able to buy something without you, you need to get that shit on lock down, or teach them how to spot deceptive practices.
Your target audience who doesn't make purchasing decisions?
to many parents though just buy what their kids want to shut them up because it's easier
That's the parents' fault
^
you should be teaching them how to make choices for themselves by the time they are starting to get financial freedoms, so around 15-16 they should be able to make some of those choices on their own.
I feel the same toward lootboxes as well
Like are you suggesting kids don't want sugary shit regardless?
I was always given the line "we dont have enough money"
Or "dinner or a toy"
I learned quickly
if the person with the money does not care about their money being used on lootboxes, who is the victim exactly?
using psychcologists to boost sales though is scummy no matter what really
The child
I would say
how is the child a victim?
its not their money, they get what they want eventually.
and you are talking about all marketing PERIOD.
you know the colors used at restaurants and fast food is ones that science shows increases hunger response?
Introducing them to gambling at a youn g age
Yeah
teach your kid how to spot and handle gambling
Same with heat
this is a PERFECT time for that
And I agree
the child is still not a victim tho.
hard alcohol sales show that the top 10% make 90% of all purchases, so they tend to market toward those with impulse control issues and addictive personalities
it could be virtual money they gamble
infact to them it is virtual money
