What do you base that on?

2018-12-04 07:58:15 UTC

this is why free will debates are stupid because there's no way to prove it, because if it's determined that you'd argue about it, then it's determined you believe you have free will and the determined results of you embracing free will is the determined prosperity of growing your diligence and discipline and thus increasing the heights you can reach and achieving those heights.

But if there is free will, then it's the same fucking result

2018-12-04 07:58:28 UTC

It's a philosopher's jack off conversation

2018-12-04 07:58:43 UTC

@Dusty Morgan I felt like wieghing in with my opinion. you just described motivations not causations

2018-12-04 07:58:43 UTC

Math is stupid because you can't prove logic.

2018-12-04 07:58:58 UTC

Motivations effect your choices man.

2018-12-04 07:59:02 UTC

yes

2018-12-04 07:59:08 UTC

who is arguing they dont?

2018-12-04 07:59:15 UTC

If you were not motivated, would you make that choice?

2018-12-04 07:59:21 UTC
2018-12-04 07:59:28 UTC

im often motivated but still dont do things

2018-12-04 07:59:29 UTC

Just because your will is determined does not mean it doesn't exist.

2018-12-04 07:59:39 UTC

im motivated to hit people all the time but i dont

2018-12-04 07:59:58 UTC

I gotta go sleep

2018-12-04 08:00:00 UTC

That you been condition to view hitting others as a bad thing through consequences.

2018-12-04 08:00:02 UTC

See ya

2018-12-04 08:00:20 UTC

nah, sometimes hitting is appropriate.

2018-12-04 08:00:26 UTC

You got a small and limited free will.

2018-12-04 08:00:32 UTC

If there's two doors to get into the same room, and one door was 4 feet tall and the other was 9, most people will go through the door that you don't need to duck to get into. That's influence. But nothing is stopping you from using the usable 4 feet tall door, that's free will.

2018-12-04 08:00:41 UTC

you are confating my moral sense of right and wrong with my choices

2018-12-04 08:01:15 UTC

We live in a universe bound by physical laws, so we have a plausible scope, but within that existience every choice that is up to you will shift that scope around

2018-12-04 08:01:31 UTC

I'm motivated to teleport but i cant 😦

2018-12-04 08:01:33 UTC

People tend to confuse determinism with omniscience.

2018-12-04 08:01:45 UTC

If you eat like shit and never exercise, the scope for your life is to be a fatass that has heart issues, even if you go to school and get a degree, or live with your mom your whole life

2018-12-04 08:02:11 UTC

But if you get fit and eat well you open new doors that you couldn't before, like now you could probably climb King's Canyon in Australia

2018-12-04 08:02:44 UTC

Your scope is not the end of your existence, it shifts with you, there's hard physical limits, but you can push beyond what your old self had as a limit at one time with determination

2018-12-04 08:03:02 UTC

there are some random, pointless conversations on here but this is the most pointless.

2018-12-04 08:03:15 UTC

it really doesnt matter if we have free will or not.

2018-12-04 08:03:23 UTC

Your free will is to explore the whole ocean. Your physical limitation is that you can't suddenly transform into a bird.

But you sure as hell can get your aviator's license.

2018-12-04 08:03:44 UTC

we cannot prove our point to eachothers satisfaction ergo pointless

2018-12-04 08:04:02 UTC

Scarce objective means, infinite subjective ends.

2018-12-04 08:04:30 UTC

Whatever

2018-12-04 08:04:34 UTC

Going to sleep

Ben Shapiro'sgenetics predetermined him to be a manlet
But his will made him be a slim manlet instead of a fat fuck manlet.

Also if free will doesn't exist, neither does consent.
Checkmate, feminists

2018-12-04 08:08:52 UTC

Prediction becomes more difficult as the number of varibles increases, and impossible beyond certain margins of error (due to quantum uncertainty) but everything is fundamentally deterministic, regardless of whether the facts are knowable. To claim otherwise is to reject all of science. To reject free will is to reject the utility of scientific knowledge.

2018-12-04 08:11:25 UTC

. . . what is a manlet?
