He subscribes to the "I-am-not-touching-you-I-am-not-touching-you" definition of force

2018-12-14 23:07:20 UTC

Does it make me ***cultured*** ?

2018-12-14 23:07:21 UTC

as much as tim likes to lambast libertarians for "not wanting any regulations" any reasonable person think there should be reasonable regulation to ensure a healthy market.

2018-12-14 23:07:30 UTC

In an ideal world, corporations should be allowed to do what they want, cuz people would be smart enough to just flip the market and support alternative platforms,

We don't live in an ideal world, so we need some leverage (the government) to maintain "some" control,

We lost that however as our governments are paid for by the very corporations the government is supposed to contain

2018-12-14 23:07:31 UTC

Funny.according to @Crimsom I'm an academic.

2018-12-14 23:07:39 UTC

@Swedishmafia101 Utilize the word Learned.

2018-12-14 23:07:40 UTC

2018-12-14 23:07:54 UTC

@Zer0 You probablly are, just not the stereotype many have in there mind.

2018-12-14 23:07:57 UTC

What fucking tools

2018-12-14 23:08:01 UTC

I'm on both sides because I think that any idea that is uncontested soon becomes an echochamber that crawls up it's own ass to die, so I am all over the place because I think all forms of this need a counterpoint to anchor and balance itself

2018-12-14 23:08:10 UTC

Imma call my girlfriend and tell her I'm a **LEARNED** person now

2018-12-14 23:08:30 UTC

I am a radical centrist

2018-12-14 23:09:07 UTC

i'm an analogue centrist 😉

2018-12-14 23:09:09 UTC

Exactly!
Because in an ideal World, Corporations wouldn't do stuff that might hurt or even kill the User!.
But they do, they exist....

2018-12-14 23:09:27 UTC

@Dr.Wol probably not best characterized as 'maintaining control' so much as some sort of corrective mechanism for the failure modes of capitalism.

2018-12-14 23:09:36 UTC

I'm a fit centrist

2018-12-14 23:09:40 UTC

* dabs *

2018-12-14 23:09:42 UTC

2018-12-14 23:09:47 UTC

Information TERRORISM

2018-12-14 23:09:58 UTC

In an ideal world Elon Musk made anime girls real

2018-12-14 23:10:04 UTC

Capitalism is pretty good, but no human system is perfect. That's black and white thinking in a world of grey. All human systems fuck up eventually.

2018-12-14 23:10:09 UTC

Its roughly what i meant,

Keep the market free, but if it starts becoming unbalanced, have government give it a little "nudge" in the right direction again

2018-12-14 23:10:15 UTC

@>_ Elon Chan*

2018-12-14 23:10:20 UTC

I quite college. started a business that made to much money to Warrant wasting it on a school that didn't have any teacher that could teach me anything. Sold the business to become a farming scholar. its winter so i now have time. to do scholarly things.

2018-12-14 23:10:28 UTC

but not force it, cuz Government is bad at making choices 😄

2018-12-14 23:10:36 UTC

Elon Musk is only Elon Chan in an ideal world @Crimsom

2018-12-14 23:10:48 UTC

its almost insulting to be called an academic. 😛

2018-12-14 23:11:25 UTC

I love it when instead of debating ideas we devolve to debating how big brain we are

2018-12-14 23:11:27 UTC

```Keep the market free, but if it starts becoming unbalanced, have government give it a little "nudge" in the right direction again```
Exactly my point. The Gouvernment has to look at the corporations that they don't abuse the Consumer and misuse them as well as the Market, so that they don't force other companys to do things their way.
2018-12-14 23:11:47 UTC
Only an academic deals in absolutes.
2018-12-14 23:11:54 UTC
well, thats a grey area already,
Who decides whats "abusing the consumer"?
2018-12-14 23:12:02 UTC
wish i had a big brain.
2018-12-14 23:12:04 UTC
Big gay
2018-12-14 23:12:20 UTC
Big gay decides
2018-12-14 23:12:23 UTC
noice
2018-12-14 23:12:37 UTC
Look, as long as the coprs aren't colluding, chances are they are going to work in the best interest of the consumer
2018-12-14 23:12:42 UTC
@Dr.Wol Don't do something with the Data the User gives you and don't do products that will hurt or kill the Consumer when used correctly.
2018-12-14 23:12:46 UTC
competition is the best sauce
