Generous? None of this has anything to do with generosity but the belief that the money that the state doles out comes out of thin air and has no impact on the finances of the tax payer.

Up here people were more than willing to vote for higher taxes on themselves to help people and my county voted for obama in 2012

The only reason why one would need to be "generous" through taxes is because some people do NOT want to be part of those donations, which means that you are generous with other people's money - which is not really generosity at all.

Once they get into power, they just remove any roadblocks for them to become dictators for life.
