2019-01-05 09:21:53 UTC

popular vote vs EC .. thats no problem, you just standardise all federal elections so everyone has the same rules. Oh, and if you're not in a major city, why should you as the minority have a say anyway? ;P

2019-01-05 09:24:17 UTC

*suspects the most common european response to US EC and one of the reasons why the EC was setup to begin with*

2019-01-05 09:27:17 UTC

They are like... It works fine here in European Union, why not implement it in United States.

2019-01-05 09:28:01 UTC

Yeah... it works fine. Mass Migration against population wishes, bullying the smaller states, constantly undermining sovereignty of the states within the European Union, and making it impossible for UK to gain their freedom from the EU.

2019-01-05 09:28:13 UTC

Also look at the collapse of France and Germany.

2019-01-05 09:28:19 UTC

Yeah... it works wonders!

2019-01-05 09:29:52 UTC

EU isnt Europe as such

2019-01-05 09:30:12 UTC

Nearly at 300,000.#

2019-01-05 09:30:50 UTC

I voted leave over sovereignty concerns, but I dont want to leave the EU in such a manner. I'm ok with a transition period, guarenteeing EU citizen right to remain and work in the UK and fulfilling UK obligations and commitments we signed up to prior to the referendum

2019-01-05 09:31:11 UTC

lol why did tim leave the server?

2019-01-05 09:31:19 UTC

That is what I asked...

2019-01-05 09:31:21 UTC

😦

2019-01-05 09:31:41 UTC

UK just drops out and ignores previous obligations why should any country believe our word after that?

2019-01-05 09:31:45 UTC

In a perfect world yes. But we are being sold down the river. They had their chance to do it properly but choose this.

2019-01-05 09:31:59 UTC

we ? you're a fellow Brit I assume

2019-01-05 09:32:09 UTC

Yeah

2019-01-05 09:32:18 UTC

btw I vote and am a member of the lib dems (because other than EU and firearm laws most of my views are close to lib dem views)

2019-01-05 09:32:24 UTC

Fischer SX best thing ever to be invented!

2019-01-05 09:32:53 UTC

a disorderly drop out from the EU concerns the crap out of me tbh

2019-01-05 09:33:14 UTC

project fear maybe but common sense and logic does support their view points ;P

2019-01-05 09:33:33 UTC

It's better than the plan May has written up for us.

2019-01-05 09:34:10 UTC

tbh in my view its remain, mays plan or drop out disastriously no deal

2019-01-05 09:34:16 UTC

given those choices I'd vote remain

2019-01-05 09:35:20 UTC

Tim didn’t leave, his discord is in offline mode, you can still @ him lol

2019-01-05 09:35:27 UTC

Before the referendum I felt it was too late, we were already too tightly wound up in EU from a economic and political POV and was going to vote remain despite that I strongly disagree with UK membership and dislike/distrust the EU more than I dislike and distrust our govt. But, at the voting booth changed my mind for an emotional reason

2019-01-05 09:36:14 UTC

I'm glad you made the right choice in the end.

2019-01-05 09:36:35 UTC

the EU is leaning on the UK to function, while the UK has many options for trading partners. Further, it's not like the UK is calling the shots. So what's the sense in staying?
