@ThreeOfOne agreed but a lot of women nowadays are indoctrinated with feminism

2019-01-26 19:23:59 UTC

kinda like a persona`s game plot

2019-01-26 19:24:11 UTC

what I mean is that women have a very important role as the reproductive filter of our species and the primary childbearers, but nobody really makes this apparent to them

2019-01-26 19:24:17 UTC

And don’t want to listen because it confronts their worldview

2019-01-26 19:24:58 UTC

I remember a video where Peterson lectured men about accepting partners 'warts and all' when it's overwhelmingly women who refuse to do so

2019-01-26 19:25:06 UTC

There's a difference between encouraging motherhood and promoting a narrative that motherhood is the only value a woman has.

2019-01-26 19:25:24 UTC

@Beyr agreed

2019-01-26 19:25:56 UTC

I do believe women have more roles tho

2019-01-26 19:26:03 UTC

peterson is right about a lot of things and wrong about a few things

2019-01-26 19:26:07 UTC

It seems to me, many people who encourage motherhood are accused of 'devaluing' a woman to that being their only value, which makes people encouraging it villainized.

2019-01-26 19:26:23 UTC

@Montgomereeeee being free makes it worse. Why would they make it worthwhile and beneficial to you if they don't have to justify the cost?

2019-01-26 19:26:27 UTC

Traditional marriage works well because a system of sexual division of labor is ingrained evolutionarily by sexual dimorphism.

2019-01-26 19:26:29 UTC

Thet are extremly charismatic and can have a Lot of empathy

2019-01-26 19:26:53 UTC

@Misomania is that a comment on free will

2019-01-26 19:27:15 UTC

In my view a woman has a choice to make, she can dedicate herself to her own life's pursuits or to her children. She can try to thread the needle and do both, but she'll probably fail.

2019-01-26 19:27:35 UTC

Or she can adopt

2019-01-26 19:27:35 UTC

Same for a father @ThreeOfOne

2019-01-26 19:27:36 UTC

@Montgomereeeee no. It's that they don't have to appeal to people by making the value you get out of it justify the cost of it (taxpayer end)

2019-01-26 19:27:39 UTC

You can do anything, just not everything

2019-01-26 19:27:40 UTC

After old

2019-01-26 19:28:00 UTC

I think a woman can pursue interests in addition to childrearing; however, if a woman chooses to be a mother she should make that a priority. How making that a priority 'looks' for each family unit may be different.

2019-01-26 19:28:09 UTC

Well I’m actually against that system @Misomania

2019-01-26 19:28:18 UTC

It was meant as joke

2019-01-26 19:28:30 UTC

Unless we manage to extend our life spawn to 300 years in that point

2019-01-26 19:28:31 UTC

A bit of sarcasm

2019-01-26 19:28:33 UTC

@Montgomereeeee Yep, and that's why I'll probably never be a father 😉

2019-01-26 19:28:34 UTC

I don't think it's a stretch to say that motherhood is the highest calling most women can have. The vast majority of women in the workforce are not in elite roles.

2019-01-26 19:28:41 UTC

For instance, motherhood at infancy compared to when children are 15, is vastly different.

2019-01-26 19:28:43 UTC

Oh god the horrors of existencial dread

2019-01-26 19:28:54 UTC

>responsibility
>AGH IT BURNS

2019-01-26 19:29:07 UTC

@devpav it's not. What else can a women do that will extend past her own death over having kids, who have kids, etc

2019-01-26 19:29:09 UTC

The roles are different, the functions of the parent for both father and mother aredifferent.

2019-01-26 19:29:19 UTC

@ThreeOfOne I’m a bit conflicted on the idea of becoming a father

2019-01-26 19:29:25 UTC

>.>... use eye tracker and try to not look at boobs in videos.

2019-01-26 19:29:29 UTC

>.>... you will fail.

2019-01-26 19:29:46 UTC

I'm not sure I wanna throw a life away that I have still managed to not live

2019-01-26 19:29:52 UTC

@devpav keeping society and humans in existance instead of leaving the planet an empty graveyard seems rather important to me

2019-01-26 19:30:06 UTC

Legacy can come in more ways than children @Misomania

2019-01-26 19:30:23 UTC

@Montgomereeeee if everyone dies what legacy is there?
