What if.... we map human mind aka intelligence to create artificial intelligences, thus they have emotions and understandings like we do.

2019-02-05 16:44:32 UTC

But with androids

2019-02-05 16:44:35 UTC

Now, we wouldn't care about killing those ants, but because we wouldn't care there's really no reason to go out of our way to.

2019-02-05 16:44:40 UTC

and bethesda

2019-02-05 16:44:45 UTC

@Dusty Morgan. We already do that

2019-02-05 16:44:52 UTC

Ais have been programmed to feel emotions

2019-02-05 16:45:19 UTC

if the AI becomes smart enough to be considered "alive" I'm still going to rape a catgirl and there's nothing society can do to stop me

2019-02-05 16:45:20 UTC

The thing is they cant fuse emotions. Only one at a time

2019-02-05 16:45:25 UTC

No... I am talking about copying a human's mind to create a artificial intelligence without the need to program emotions or actions.

2019-02-05 16:45:38 UTC

Wed need to figure out the human brain

2019-02-05 16:45:43 UTC

And we are very far from that

2019-02-05 16:45:51 UTC

I think we should focus on that first.

2019-02-05 16:45:56 UTC

Wed have to be able to input information on a human brain first

2019-02-05 16:46:00 UTC

I think that is possible

2019-02-05 16:46:01 UTC

Before create a robotic artificial intelligence with no emotions.

2019-02-05 16:46:01 UTC

The brain *would* think that!

2019-02-05 16:46:08 UTC

figure out? aren't we lost there at the same level as everything else? The quantum one.

2019-02-05 16:46:25 UTC

Were nowhere close to sci fi

2019-02-05 16:46:31 UTC

I agree with paradox

2019-02-05 16:46:39 UTC

Itll be for the young ones to figure out

2019-02-05 16:46:43 UTC

we're 10 maybe 20 years away from a full on Cyberpunk society

2019-02-05 16:46:51 UTC

What scares me is a all powerful artificial intelligence that doesn't feel empathy.

2019-02-05 16:46:53 UTC

emphases on the punk

2019-02-05 16:47:06 UTC

I mean we know how things work, outside of the quatum level, we just don't know how it all works together.

2019-02-05 16:47:09 UTC

Empathy is also dangerous tho

2019-02-05 16:47:49 UTC

Think about it... Artificial intelligence could just use humans as science experiment...

2019-02-05 16:47:54 UTC

empathy almost turned my mind into mush during the occupy protests

2019-02-05 16:48:08 UTC

Who says they aren't already, Dusty?

2019-02-05 16:48:25 UTC

Showing no empathy and basically experiment on us without any pain medications...

2019-02-05 16:48:28 UTC

It would be akin to torture.

2019-02-05 16:48:31 UTC

Hell humans have done that.

2019-02-05 16:48:35 UTC

Look at Nazi's regime.

2019-02-05 16:48:54 UTC

or the Japanese

2019-02-05 16:48:59 UTC

or Stalinist Russia

2019-02-05 16:49:00 UTC

Unit 731 even worse than Mengele

2019-02-05 16:49:07 UTC

"Empathy is the capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing from within their frame of reference,"

2019-02-05 16:49:23 UTC

That scares me... to be viewed not as a intelligent being, but as sometime as simple as a ant that is at their mercy.

2019-02-05 16:49:24 UTC

it doesn't say anything from acting accordingly to how you feel

2019-02-05 16:49:34 UTC

I can feel bad for the catgirl, but Imma still do it

2019-02-05 16:49:47 UTC

read more Lovecraft it's good for the soul

2019-02-05 16:50:03 UTC

Thing is, the AI really wouldn't need to experiement, because they would have a far superior capacity and ability to assess information, assuming they have reached the singularity point.
