this is where I got my avatar https://youtu.be/3ew_cSgCJoc?t=250
everything can be a drug, true or false
I only watch animes that were made before the 80s.
@kodec by the definition of drug "a chemical substance that alters the body" yes everything necessarily must be a drug if it reacts with your body in any way
@kodec Considering humans have the potential to become addicted to damn near anything, sure
I would probably define that by its physiological impact.
Otherwise, drug becomes a useless term.
A chair leg can be a drug then.
but wouldnt a drug aritificially increase the neuron count to you brain?
Increase neuron count?
I have never heard of such an effect.
stimilus
*do brains work that way?*
Neurons are cells.
hehe
the things sent between synapses
neurotransmitter
thats right
wouldnt real drugs hike your reward center unnaturally?
your premise of "naturally" here is starting at an illogical standard
yeah i am not making sense
Unnaturally?
I'm not sure what is natural or unnatural.
It does "hike it" though.
How do you differentiate the reaction between a manmade chemical and a naturally occuring chemical
manmade is home made
Why would one substance have a different reaction simply because it is naturally occuring
manmade is not home made
naturally occuring is home made
manmade is external
I guess there are some sensible distinctions. There are influences our physiology might never had to deal with.
And they do not occur naturally.
@kodec are you looking for the word "synthesized?"
So, I guess they are "unnatural" but many of the chemicals might be the same.
The response, in terms of addiction, does not have to differ, though.
hmm interesting
