so why is new material generated there?

Uplift

2020-01-05 22:51:04 UTC

so they are standard tectonic plates?

2020-01-05 22:51:14 UTC

convergent, divergent, transform?

2020-01-05 22:51:18 UTC

How would i know

2020-01-05 22:51:54 UTC

you said they are cracks

2020-01-05 22:52:05 UTC

and listed a bunch of processes

2020-01-05 22:52:13 UTC

I assumed you understood the jargon

2020-01-05 23:09:38 UTC

No, you aren't wrong for thinking that most flat earthers believe all photos showing a globe are photoshopped by NASA. You are wrong for not assuming that most Flat Earthers (which are people just like me and you) have the tendency to follow along with bandwagons that look to support or defend against a globe earth.

The story and details behind the article of the first photo of earth taken from a high altitude (I won't say outer space) on the 24th of October 1946 seems fishy but I won't dwell on my feelings of it.

But I can tell you that the picture doesn't show a curved horizon and you can test that yourself with a ruler or a piece of paper. Although indeed it is at an angle which is easily provable.

I'm never fully satisfied until I get the chance to do a high altitude recording myself with a non fish eye lens camera lens. But other independent researchers have shown a straight horizon without fish eye lens cameras.

You must not assume that all flat earthers agree on the same things regarding flat earth as I do not agree with the ice wall more over the dome neither do I agree with the most popular model of the FE. But I do agree with many observable and sensible proofs that we can all agree on.

@California Nightmare 3.0 thank you for that little gif thing, it’s really pretty

We see one side because the moon rotates at a rate tandem with the Earth.

2020-01-06 00:26:03 UTC

The cause is, of course, you don't see the 'dark side'

2020-01-06 00:26:29 UTC

For an object which was formed from accreted matter after an impact with the Earth, that isn't an unlikely eventuality at all.

2020-01-06 00:28:34 UTC

Isn't a large part of that 'atmospheric distortion' tidal phenomena?

2020-01-06 01:52:00 UTC

@Lampz i have used your recommended method of measuring the curvature of the first photo taken from a high altitude and have found a curvature, what i did was i took a ruler, firstly tested if it was in fact straight enough to carry on the measurement by first holding it against straight items like the edge of my computer screen, and to no surprise it was straight, so then i carried on to measure said photo by getting the two ends of the ruler and making sure the ends were on the horizon, and i decided that if i couldnt see the planet through the ruler, as it was transparent, then the photo is in fact presenting a flat earth, but if i could see it through the ruler then it was showing a round earth, and sure enough the image was showing a round earth, and just to be sure i tried this method on the same photo uploaded by different people and got the same results

I have a quick question

2020-01-06 01:59:08 UTC

Why lie about the shape of the Earth

2020-01-06 02:06:36 UTC

Anyone?

2020-01-06 02:17:34 UTC

:/

2020-01-06 02:18:17 UTC

apparently to "Hide god" But why tf would you do that

2020-01-06 02:19:30 UTC

I would love to see god, sounds fantastic

2020-01-06 02:19:45 UTC

Why would you 'hide god'

2020-01-06 02:52:47 UTC

The main reason they are staying appears to be money. @Daiel

2020-01-06 02:53:08 UTC

But then again, you don't need NASA to fund and finance illegal or unconventional groups.

2020-01-06 02:53:14 UTC

The US already does that.

2020-01-06 02:53:30 UTC

Ergo, you don't need to setup a lemonade stand to sell cocaine.

2020-01-06 03:13:26 UTC

Cocaine?

2020-01-06 03:17:44 UTC

Consider it as an analogy.

2020-01-06 03:36:27 UTC

NASA launders the money

2020-01-06 03:36:46 UTC

@Daiel why wouldn’t you?

2020-01-06 03:37:22 UTC

Because that sounds like a really stupid and useless idea

2020-01-06 03:37:37 UTC

Why is it stupid and useless?

2020-01-06 03:48:49 UTC

Why would i hide god
