Yeah I know

2020-03-26 06:07:10 UTC

Oh, then I'm not sure what you're asking

2020-03-26 06:08:29 UTC

Well, I mean I was just wondering what was more effective

2020-03-26 06:09:22 UTC

Oh, well that is a good question.

2020-03-26 06:10:07 UTC

There are two primary categories ig for muscle

2020-03-26 06:10:25 UTC

Endurance and strength

2020-03-26 06:10:41 UTC

Both are linked, but different

2020-03-26 06:11:09 UTC

Endurance is you can go longer, while strength is you can hold more

2020-03-26 06:11:42 UTC

Like if I had high endurance for my arms, I can push out a ton of push ups

2020-03-26 06:12:09 UTC

But might not be able to lift any more than what I am when doing push ups

2020-03-26 06:13:20 UTC

But if you have a lot of strength, chances are you can do lighter loads longer as well

2020-03-26 06:14:42 UTC

Like RN I can crank out 35-40 push ups without warming up. But I can't really do that many pull ups, only did flex arm hang for HS gym

2020-03-26 06:15:01 UTC

So just find what works

2020-03-26 06:15:46 UTC

Also, contact your healthcare provider before starting a training regimen and all that.

2020-03-26 06:16:42 UTC

And try to get in to contact with a trainer or someone like that or has way more experience than I do. Only a 17 yo high schooler

2020-03-26 06:23:19 UTC

Sounds good

2020-03-26 06:23:32 UTC

I held out a 2 minute plank and that didn't feel healthy

2020-03-26 06:23:36 UTC

So imma work on my core

2020-03-26 22:47:36 UTC

i just do sit ups

2020-03-26 22:47:39 UTC

lots of them

2020-03-27 00:12:27 UTC

@Lekka I used to as well, I hear they aren't as good tho. I wouldn't be a good source on that tho.

2020-03-27 01:01:31 UTC

The Navy switched from sit ups to a timed plank for the abs portion of the Navy Physical Fitness Test or PFT

2020-03-27 15:32:20 UTC

@ChaosNatural To be fair planks are fucking hard

2020-03-27 15:32:59 UTC

they are not easy

2020-03-27 15:35:05 UTC

They're ez.

2020-03-27 15:35:23 UTC

Up to 1:30 minutes is ezpz.

2020-03-27 15:35:44 UTC

The last 10 seconds of a 2 minute plank is when it gets somewhat bad.

2020-03-27 17:16:37 UTC

I hate planking

2020-03-27 17:17:01 UTC

I would take flutterkicks over planking any day

2020-03-27 17:31:37 UTC

Wtf

2020-03-27 20:16:28 UTC

And wallsits

2020-03-27 20:16:33 UTC

I hate them

2020-03-27 21:03:20 UTC

The Soviet’s torture gulag prisoners with wallsits for hours

2020-03-27 22:07:32 UTC

Hello folks, being indoors for days made me decide to try and get fit. I swim every week (decently) but carry a bit of weight on top on that, I have little idea what I’m doing so does anyone have any good introductory guides to exercise at home? Cheers in advance.

2020-03-27 22:29:27 UTC

What equipment, if any, are you thinking of trying?

2020-03-27 22:32:29 UTC

I have none really to speak of

2020-03-27 22:33:35 UTC

I suppose it might be relevant I have a small garden outside that I can use

2020-03-27 23:19:56 UTC

@Kaiser 20 push ups every hour

2020-03-28 03:45:13 UTC

15 pullups twice a day

2020-03-28 03:57:24 UTC

The 2 week Russian push up program
