Bruh

2020-03-05 20:49:47 UTC

and it'll give incompatible people a pass to enter your country

2020-03-05 20:50:01 UTC

I'm not saying I wanna kill people I just want to know why Koninos believes what he does

2020-03-05 20:50:02 UTC

"I'm born in French Algeria meaning that I'm allowed to go to France"

2020-03-05 20:50:32 UTC

or end up with a SA situation where your own people are getting murdered by the locals for the color of their skin

2020-03-05 20:50:52 UTC

The many things that come with Imperialism:
A) The affection it has on innocent, or otherwise, humans.
B) The way it affects the other nation's economy, national integrity, and the nation's whole in general.
C) The way it mixes up populations so violently.
And more.

2020-03-05 20:51:06 UTC

Ok but what makes any of that wrong?

2020-03-05 20:51:15 UTC

look at Africa

2020-03-05 20:51:17 UTC

The murder of humans isn't wrong?

2020-03-05 20:51:23 UTC

Why do you believe it is?

2020-03-05 20:51:32 UTC

Europe colonized the entire continent and shit hit the fan when they left

2020-03-05 20:51:38 UTC

Why do you believe it's not?

2020-03-05 20:51:41 UTC

it makes people rely on outside help to keep on living

2020-03-05 20:51:51 UTC

What gives you the right to end the other's life?

2020-03-05 20:51:52 UTC

think of domesticated pets and how they can't feed themselves

2020-03-05 20:52:04 UTC

I never said it isn't I just want to know why you believe what you do.

2020-03-05 20:52:23 UTC

Isn't it obvious? Isn't it common sense?

2020-03-05 20:52:27 UTC

And why do I need a right to do something? If I am capable is that not enough justification?

2020-03-05 20:52:30 UTC

Well no not really

2020-03-05 20:52:41 UTC

Morality can't be tied to common sense because common sense changes

2020-03-05 20:52:51 UTC

Imperialism was at one time, common sense.

2020-03-05 20:53:18 UTC

So it's not obvious when you use the current common sense?

2020-03-05 20:53:39 UTC

Killing in some cases is ok

2020-03-05 20:53:49 UTC

Ok but what I am saying is that something being obvious doesn't necessarily attach morality to that thing

2020-03-05 20:53:54 UTC

It's not obvious how killing other people, mentally hurting their society, friends, family, and causing negative feelings to another is a bad thing?

2020-03-05 20:53:58 UTC
2020-03-05 20:54:09 UTC

So it may be obvious to me as a westerner that killing is wrong but in a different context it would not be

2020-03-05 20:54:16 UTC

It is obviously immoral.

2020-03-05 20:54:24 UTC

Ok so what defines immorality?

2020-03-05 20:55:07 UTC

The people, their cultures, their religions, etc. But murder is the most common immoral thing in all cultures, religions, and all people agree with that, put aside mentally ill people.

2020-03-05 20:55:13 UTC

And of course sometimes killing is justified.

2020-03-05 20:55:22 UTC

But the killing which comes with Imperialism isn't.

2020-03-05 20:55:26 UTC

So is killing actually immoral or not?

2020-03-05 20:55:32 UTC

It's immoral.

2020-03-05 20:55:35 UTC

Why

2020-03-05 20:55:40 UTC

I said why.

2020-03-05 20:55:49 UTC

No you said that people find it to be immoral

2020-03-05 20:56:00 UTC

> It's not obvious how killing other people, mentally hurting their society, friends, family, and causing negative feelings to another is a bad thing?

2020-03-05 20:56:22 UTC

I understand that people are conditioned by their societies to believe in certain ways but I believe the both of us to be able to go above that conditioning and discuss morality objectively

2020-03-05 20:56:41 UTC

So what makes killing morally wrong?

2020-03-05 20:56:57 UTC

There is no objective morality, unless we insert the presence of a higher being and its rules.
