If Free Will is say, the cause, then God still is the First Cause because He Himself made the Concept of Free Will
That's what Eoppa said referring to Molinism I think
Molinism?
Molinism is something a bit different
Imma Google that
And I say God at every moment sustains our free will
ughh
I am ragequitting this conversation
Free will and the modal collapse argument are two things I think I can contribute to if I write something longer and more fleshed out. If not free will then hopefully the modal collapse argument.
@Revolt Against Everything there's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya about the raising of the wrist, Socrates himself was permanently pissed...

- Where would you draw the line between insanity and creativity?
When are hurt or in close danger of being hurt as the result of the persons creativity/insanity
They are the same thing, one is when society views it positively, the other negatively
@Attika at the profit margin.
when u see what benifits we got from hitler and all nazis sht
u understand that it was worth it
but when u only see that hitler is killing people because u think with your heart and u cant imagine that there is benefits
then u are close minded
otherwise
u would try to understand why
hitler is a good person
and so
learn and upgrade your knowledge
because open mindness = research of the truth/ knowledge
Person above must be kidding.
It is simply unnatural for people to only think with their minds and not with their hearts also. You, at this very moment, do think with your heart, but you are denying its beliefs, even though you shouldn't. The benefits of killing people were very few, and could've been achieved otherwise.
This whole "don't think with your heart, think with your mind" thing is just so wrong and so unnecessary. Yes, you should focus on thinking with your mind, not listening to your heart, but really, every thinking person could realize that killing people, regardless of the feelings such action generates, is wrong.
Violence is only justified when used to overthrow violence, and that's not the use we see in Nazi Germany.
Now of course, calling Hitler a good person is like calling Alexander the Great a Slav. I don't think I need to go in detail on why he was a mentally ill and unstable person, should I?
His very history and past show signs of literal autism (not joking), mental instability and lack of socialization. It's now random how people who don't know how to socialize tend to have more Authoritarian beliefs. And if you read about Hitler's past, you'll see why he held the beliefs that he held.
He was literally speaking to trees after his brother's death.

<@&682288520680964151> Daily Question:
Are Cicero's defenses of a republican form of government applicable to modern day, where similar threats of civil war and governmental tyranny threaten European and American republican ways of life?
Why is this philosophy
@Notso can I get a refresher on his viewpoint?
