Wow there's actual diehard christians here ok, how do you justify freewill with the whole romans 8 thing
Tbh the whole prospect of Christianity just seems like god forgot to write the other half of the book where human beings are good people
Why are priests a channel of god until they molest some kid? You guys sure worshiped him before! It just doesn’t make sense.
I go with the logical answer where religion was invented to stop people from being total wack jobs, but human impulse won’t ever but stomped out.
what the hell does that part about priests mean
who did we worship before?
who worships priests
Literally @moira
@Sentient23 I’m not calling myself intellectually superior. In fact I think I’m pretty retarded. I just don’t see how people can call religion a success when people are getting fucked everyday. My sister died in a car crash when she was 9 years old, but lemme guess that was gods plan right? I was a Christian at the time so why did that happen? It’s just to me personally all bullshit. Like why did god not write the bible himself?
well the bible is just a compilation of historical documents
made by his followers
except it's been proven several documents were cut or edited by the church, and that several other events, while supposedly true, are just fairy tales from the time.
@moira just watch this^^^
>except it's been proven several documents were cut or edited by the church,
bull fucking shit
heard it dozens of times, never proven
>and that several other events, while supposedly true, are just fairy tales from the time.
it is not. There are many documents hidden in the vatican vaults.
not an opinion.
@Ater Votum I love how the video starts off, in the first sentence, with a logical fallacy.
The second point is literally 800 yeaes before Jesus
now, while, according to the Hezekiah Tunnels, Hezekiah must've lived about 800 Years before Christ, since he created those 2800 year old tunnels. But these Prisms say that Sennacherib ruled 701 B.C. to 681 B.C.
about 100 years apart
now, from Wikipedia, about the David Inscriptions, translated with 99.9% accuracy by me "The Attention is especially on the mention of a 'House David' . Should this reading be correct, this would be the first Evidence for the mention of a David. If, by this, the biblical David is meant, should remain unanswered for now. [...] The Inscriptions is historical in no case proof for a Unified Kingdom of Israel and Juda under the bilical King David.
on the Nazareth house, all I could find was a christian order of nuns that take in Orphans, and sometimes abuse them.
you have absolutely no evidence that the bible was ever altered
we have some pre-fourth century pieces of the gospels and they're identical to the gospels we have today
well we have as about as much proof that god exists as we have proof he doesn’t exist. And I think it’s rational to go with something not existing if you don’t have sufficient evidence for it
Thats how it works in the court of laws anyway
the criminal doesn’t have a charge until there is hard evidence of proof .
So what should we believe in?
Humanism
The thing that started the enlightenment period
Being good people without the need for divine intervention
Understanding that we are all humans
We all have feelings
basically christain philsophy without the god part
