@moira when I go on break in 2:30 hours I should be able to address you.
God is omnipotent as he can actualize any potential yes.
God is omniscient yes.
God is goodness yes.

2020-02-07 19:35:16 UTC

So lay out the problem of evil in your view for me, assuming that's the argument you're going to use.

2020-02-07 21:36:06 UTC

@Sentient23 Would you debate me instead on ontology specifically aquinas? I already agreed with the first concept at least as far as that there are far higher forces that impact our reality.

2020-02-08 01:04:56 UTC

@Ater Votum what were you planning to debate?

2020-02-08 01:05:03 UTC
2020-02-08 05:06:05 UTC

@Eoppa theology and own metaphysical notions

2020-02-08 05:25:30 UTC

@Ater Votum what about it

2020-02-08 05:26:44 UTC

what else is there ? its a concept that seems valid.

2020-02-08 05:27:04 UTC

present the other ones

2020-02-08 05:27:24 UTC

its a contained idea , almost any religion or spirituality could claim it

2020-02-08 05:27:36 UTC
2020-02-08 05:28:22 UTC

im playing cs rn way

2020-02-08 05:28:24 UTC

wait

2020-02-08 05:38:19 UTC

What "other" concepts do you wanna know?

2020-02-08 05:38:21 UTC

its a vague question

2020-02-08 05:39:18 UTC

what ?

2020-02-08 05:40:32 UTC
2020-02-08 05:41:25 UTC

You said "present the other concepts"

2020-02-08 05:41:38 UTC

what do u wanna know

2020-02-08 05:41:42 UTC

what issues do u want me to explain

2020-02-08 05:43:58 UTC

well i don't ask you now

2020-02-08 05:44:20 UTC

Hmm

2020-02-08 05:44:44 UTC

I already said i agree with the first way

2020-02-08 05:47:30 UTC
2020-02-08 05:48:33 UTC

Do u want me to present the second way?

2020-02-08 05:48:40 UTC

THe second way is much more easier to conceptualize

2020-02-08 05:50:50 UTC

Basically it goes like this:
Causes and effects exists, therefore, there is a causal chain (i.e a chicken laying an egg, then the egg growing into a chicken etc)
However, something cannot cause itself (this was in the first way as well which you agreed to)
However, there cannot be an infinite chain of causality. Why:
P1 In order to have gotten to this point, we would've had to have successfully traversed the prior causal chain
p2 However, traversing infinity is impossible
p3 Therefore, the causal chain is fininte, and at the bottom of the causal chain there is something uncaused which caused everything to come into being

2020-02-08 05:54:07 UTC

(im gonna eat breakfast and then do homework so my responses may be derailed)

2020-02-08 16:07:41 UTC

You know what's great

2020-02-08 16:07:50 UTC

being forgiven for something you didn't do

2020-02-09 00:13:12 UTC

I'm genuinely curious

2020-02-09 00:14:14 UTC

Why is the bible the word of god?

2020-02-09 00:21:33 UTC

It was written, put together, and edited by man

2020-02-09 06:06:39 UTC

@Dr. Emperor Thanatos the wise yes and most of the events therein deal with us mere mortals.
But then, that's not the point. The point is the inspiration many get from reading the said holy books is beyond the norm.

2020-02-09 14:00:52 UTC

@Sentient23 You argue that a good moral compass cannot exist without religion, yes?
