It really can be, and frankly I'm a heretic to the hermetic tradition by even trying to communicate this information to you as it's supposed to not be shared
I don't think I'm special because I discovered it, just lucky. Anyone has the capacity to understand this stuff as long as it's explained the right way
vat a mess

@Eoppa no. Nor have you read any here tonight. Though the mass of folk here do enjoy Hermetic studies, could you relate any to what Paul said, specifically within Acts, if you could so please?

*Why is homosexuality a sin? Do people choose to be homosexuals?*
<@&588707615643795456>
I think that homosexuality goes against the very nature of the family. Daily is the smallest cell of a society and has to be protected dearly, and homosexuality is incompatible with the traditional family. I do not believe that it is a choice though I would not know and I think gays should be allowed to have civil unions should they want to but these should not be mistaken for a marriage, a union between man and woman
Sex is unitive and procreative, having it without one or the other is a perversion of the act and sinful.
@Eoppa where do you derive that from?
@Krusader civil unions between homosexuals shouldn't be allowed because it encourages the sinful activity.
I'm a Catholic @Royal Chaotic
Also does that mean that any sex that doesnt result in babys is sinful?
I think from a purely pragmatic standpoint, making something illegal doesn't really prevent it from happening
@Royal Chaotic ```Sexual pleasure is morally disordered when sought for itself, isolated from its procreative and unitive purposes```
And no, but you can't purposefully prevent the child
I’ve come full circle.
naw shit
Is that from the bible @Eoppa ? And why not
@Krusader but you shouldn't take part in someone's stumbling and codify it into law.
@Royal Chaotic that's from the catechism
Sure you can. These people don't have a choice and we shouldn't punish them for something they do not have any control over
What catechism? And why is no child sex not sinful?
It unprocreative after all, also does that mean that if you are infertile you cant have sex @Eoppa
You shouldn't marry if you are infertile
And sex while *purposefully* preventing that end is sinful
Like contraception
Or especially abortion
@Eoppa but why isn't sex that bears no children which is unprocreative also not a sin
@Krusader we have a choice to not adulter. They have a choice to not be a sodomite.
They have a choice to not do things but they don't have the choice to nor want to do such
