morning

2019-01-15 04:45:03 UTC

is there a risk with melatonin and serotonin syndrome

2019-01-15 04:45:06 UTC

Both seratonin and melatonin are made from the amino acid tryptophan. You're meant to be very careful about how much mel/tryp you're meant to have if you're unable to regulate seratonin levels

2019-01-15 04:45:19 UTC

well thats the fun of antidepressants

2019-01-15 04:45:26 UTC

we dont really know what the fuck they do and how they help

2019-01-15 04:45:32 UTC

Also means I can't have protein supplememts

2019-01-15 04:45:33 UTC

I would rather just read some papers @Hey Fucko

2019-01-15 04:45:33 UTC

just that they do like 50ish of the time at best

2019-01-15 04:45:41 UTC

morning @TBORIOT

2019-01-15 04:45:41 UTC

They block re uptake do they not?

2019-01-15 04:45:46 UTC

😂

2019-01-15 04:45:47 UTC

apparently

2019-01-15 04:45:50 UTC

Keeps the serotonin floating around

2019-01-15 04:45:55 UTC

I either dont make enough or need more or soemthing

2019-01-15 04:45:56 UTC

So you feel better

2019-01-15 04:46:01 UTC

zoloft worked for 4 months for me

2019-01-15 04:46:04 UTC

it worked really well

2019-01-15 04:46:04 UTC

doesnt it just block the reuptake

2019-01-15 04:46:06 UTC

i miss it

2019-01-15 04:46:08 UTC

i was happy

2019-01-15 04:46:11 UTC

or at least

2019-01-15 04:46:13 UTC

I wasnt unhappy

2019-01-15 04:46:20 UTC

antidepressents didnt work for me

2019-01-15 04:46:24 UTC

Selective seratonin reuptake inhibitors, increases the relative concentration of seratonin in the synapse.

2019-01-15 04:46:26 UTC

felt foggy

2019-01-15 04:46:42 UTC

i felt great for 4-5 months, then i reached 200mg, nothing happened

2019-01-15 04:46:50 UTC

added welbutrin, still nothing

2019-01-15 04:47:23 UTC

id rather make lifestyle changes and make it less likely to fall into a deep depression then rely on anitdepressents

2019-01-15 04:47:29 UTC

Welbutrin is an interesting antidepressant.

2019-01-15 04:47:33 UTC

Cancer patients often develop chronic, clinically significant symptoms of depression and anxiety. Previous studies suggest that psilocybin may decrease depression and anxiety in cancer patients

2019-01-15 04:47:38 UTC

***well***

2019-01-15 04:47:45 UTC

it is a cathinone, related to amphetamines.

2019-01-15 04:47:54 UTC

Most of the big antidepressants will have a minor response in like 70% of patients and a major response in something like 40%

2019-01-15 04:48:07 UTC

oh shrooms

2019-01-15 04:48:09 UTC

hope psilocybin and LSD get used in controlled psychiatric care within my life time

2019-01-15 04:48:22 UTC

Not that my advice will magically make anyone better or fix any problems right away but a hobby can help with depression, wether it be puzzles or a sport or wood working may help. Just my advice though.

2019-01-15 04:48:23 UTC

yeah i cant do LSD while taking SSRI

2019-01-15 04:48:30 UTC

psyodelics are the one thing i wont do

2019-01-15 04:48:31 UTC
