If you're gonna read one self help book you should read multiple and piece together what's right for you.

I read the Torah and the bible but I was raised Jewish.

there's a reason most atheists know the bible

My favorite book of the Torah in the tanakh is Ecclesiastes

i like some of the fables from the bible

Jordan Peterson's book is a good example because it's obviously hitting a part of people's psyche in the right way

I read the Quran. Rough read and you really need to cherry pick hard for good messages and morals in many parts.

I like to think of the bible as entirely allegorical. Means that I can abide by the nice things like the turn the other cheek and the do unto others stuff, and not yaknow agree with slavery, kidnap marriages and putting to death
