2018-12-14 22:50:56 UTC

Good luck. You won't need it with enough preparation, but good luck regardless, amigo

2018-12-15 14:10:29 UTC

Excellent archive channel. the MENy Calculations link should definitely go, as well as https://law.justia.com/codes/georgia/2017/title-16/chapter-11/article-3/part-1/section-16-11-62/ . I don't have posting permissions in that channel

2018-12-15 14:16:21 UTC

We're probably just going to have it with only a few posts, but edit them with the relevant links in each like a list. For example of you are looking for what alimoney laws are in California that will be under the alimony post, and anything we found for California will be displayed in one of the areas ex:

Alimony laws:

Georgia: (link)

California: (link)

Florida: (link)

Etc

2018-12-15 14:18:43 UTC

They'll likely be built up as we find more information for people or that people find from their own states

2018-12-15 14:18:55 UTC

And don't worry, I don't have permission to post there yet either xD

2018-12-15 14:39:49 UTC

Nice

2018-12-15 14:40:00 UTC

It's a good channel. I'm glad its there

2018-12-15 14:40:07 UTC

This is a good group.

2018-12-15 16:27:50 UTC

Okay, I've given @InsaneCaterpilla permission. Should work now.

2018-12-15 16:29:33 UTC

@Dan da Dad Glad to hear it! I hope it keeps on growing. :) We should get a big influx tonight as the discord link will be stickied again in the sub, most likely

2018-12-15 16:29:49 UTC

Thanks to @goodmod for offering to do that. :)

2018-12-15 16:30:45 UTC

Oof. Banhammer at the ready I guess xP jk (hopefully)

2018-12-15 16:31:06 UTC

Eep! I hope not, lol

2018-12-15 16:31:19 UTC

I haven't had to yet. XD

2018-12-15 16:31:35 UTC

If any of you could link the discord to a divorced dads sub, that would be good too.

2018-12-15 16:38:53 UTC

OH. And if anyone knows of any MHRM forums or other places, please do share them there or tell me the names!

2018-12-16 03:28:31 UTC

@Dan da Dad I honestly wanna thank you for showing me Meny calculation book. Its mind blowing how true everything he is saying and to think i was the only one going through it alone. Thank you again.

2018-12-16 12:01:46 UTC

@InsaneCaterpilla For neatness, would you add the calculations link to your own post?

2018-12-16 14:14:45 UTC

Oh, done, btw

2018-12-16 14:59:09 UTC

Thanks!

2018-12-17 05:40:20 UTC

@Night Terror I felt the same way, so I'm more than glad to share. I reflected on this in a Reddit post reply where I said: "I think many of us have an idea of what is in store, and how to prepare. I fear most of us are gravely mistaken. Maybe that is reflected in the statistics more so than having two chromosomes?"

Better, and proper, preparation is key. Knowing when and how to lawyer up is key. Preparation, Execution. From there, it's a matter of presenting the best case properly to the courts.

You are not alone, my friend.

2018-12-17 05:41:33 UTC

My Amazon account wouldn't let me leave a review for the book. I request you do if you are able. I'm so very glad it helped!

2018-12-17 06:08:48 UTC

i will leave a great review

2018-12-18 00:11:12 UTC

I escaped, brothers.

2018-12-18 01:32:37 UTC

Halleluijah! Tell us about your experience @RandyLahey !

2018-12-18 01:52:49 UTC

Can i claim my kids for taxes if im paying child support
I have joint custody

2018-12-18 01:53:34 UTC

In GA (which should help you, too) Alimony is tax deductble, but child support is not, which is why you see amicalbe divorced settled by the parties to "favor" alimony

2018-12-18 01:53:43 UTC

Since they receive it tax-free (custodial support)

2018-12-18 01:54:36 UTC

You need to qualify for it, though. Check the link

2018-12-18 03:27:16 UTC

GA is an at-fault state, so she is not entitled to Alimony if it was decided as Adultery, but was the verdict Adultery or Irreparable differences?

2018-12-19 14:39:14 UTC

So, about a month or 2 now my dad divorced my mom bc she was cheating on him

2018-12-19 14:39:24 UTC

Yesterday she came back because she said she wanted to apologize

2018-12-19 14:39:34 UTC

Instead, she screamed and hit my dad all night

2018-12-19 14:39:51 UTC

omg...

2018-12-19 14:39:55 UTC

so what happened?

2018-12-19 14:40:16 UTC

She came in “wanting” to apologize

2018-12-19 14:40:23 UTC

They had a bit of discussion
