@Rai right

2018-11-26 04:22:51 UTC

Yes I have. I actually prefer it to r/mensrights right now

2018-11-26 04:23:00 UTC

some great discussions going on there

2018-11-26 04:23:01 UTC

Now

2018-11-26 04:23:11 UTC

give an example of it dismissing genuine problems

2018-11-26 04:23:16 UTC

You mean like how to teach men not to rape people?

2018-11-26 04:23:50 UTC

which is a genuine thing?

2018-11-26 04:23:53 UTC

That's legitimately a topic I saw seriously discussed on there last time I viewed it

2018-11-26 04:24:16 UTC

Yeppers. You have a problem with educating people about consent?

2018-11-26 04:25:05 UTC

I have a problem with it being aimed at men specifically. And assuming that men don't know what rape is is frankly ridiculous

2018-11-26 04:25:07 UTC

4) A pluralistic society involves interest groups like feminism and the MRA working together to shape policy, and by the compromises made, society is defined by the collective self-interest of the people through groups representing them

2018-11-26 04:25:42 UTC

At this point it should be obvious that when feminism refuses to work with us that they are against the supposed "equality" they argue for

2018-11-26 04:26:42 UTC

@InsaneCaterpilla that is not what it is. It is about the form of rape known as "misinformed belief in consent". Not deliberate rape. And while it should be aimed more at both genders, the current meme around rape makes that challenging

2018-11-26 04:27:40 UTC

@Rai quite a few feminists are good with mens advocates when they understand what it is. I have changed a few minds myself, I would know

2018-11-26 04:27:50 UTC

Describe "misinformed belief in consent" for me

2018-11-26 04:28:37 UTC

@PM_ME_UR_PC_SPECS In my experience it's always the rank-and-file feminists that are fine with the MRM, even the segment that's split away from feminism

2018-11-26 04:29:08 UTC

Meanwhile, the ones with big, glamorous positions in interest groups, aka the ones that actually matter when it comes to shaping policy, are almost 100% against us

2018-11-26 04:30:40 UTC

@Rai so we need to talk more to these "big glamorous feminists"

2018-11-26 04:31:48 UTC

@Rai what's quite disgusting about that is that the reason they do it isn't for the benefit of women, not that it doesn't achieve that. It's self advancement. Without having something to fight against they lose their notoriety and position, and even if they don't, they have to share power on their platform which involves losing some of it

2018-11-26 04:32:52 UTC

@PM_ME_UR_PC_SPECS I see you aren't denying that the 'average' feminist gives credibility to those at the top and follows many of their opinions

2018-11-26 04:33:38 UTC

First part is unfortunately true, and the second part is also unfortunately true

2018-11-26 04:34:02 UTC

@InsaneCaterpilla It's the downside of a system like the one we have now. Corrupt people care more about funding than actually solving the issues they took the job for in the first place

2018-11-26 04:34:17 UTC

Unfortunately true also

2018-11-26 04:35:05 UTC

I gotta roll for now, see yall later

2018-11-26 04:37:42 UTC

Take care

2018-11-29 01:40:13 UTC

I was over at r/againstmensrights and found this little tidbit.

Statement: “Gay men are more likely to be the victim of hate crime than lesbians or bisexual women”

Response: "Who, disproportionately, commits those hate crimes?"

What are your opinions?

2018-11-29 01:41:43 UTC

Humans do. Better kill all of them and let the animals take over.

2018-11-29 01:42:31 UTC

Heh. Regressive, I like it.

2018-11-29 02:04:58 UTC

The best response is that men and women are not collectives

2018-11-29 02:05:32 UTC

Even if men are hurting men or women are hurting women, this does not stop it from being a men's or women's issue, respectively

2018-11-29 02:05:52 UTC

It also doesn't stop it from being a serious problem that needs to be addressed

2018-11-29 02:06:53 UTC

And while problems faced by gay men, lesbian women, and bisexual women are all real

2018-11-29 02:07:19 UTC

Given limited public funding, priority should be given to the problems facing the most people, in this case gay men

2018-11-29 02:07:46 UTC

How does that sound? @Silver_The_Bard

2018-11-29 02:39:22 UTC

Sounds half built.

2018-11-29 02:39:27 UTC

To be honest.

2018-11-29 02:40:04 UTC

Is just awareness suppose to help the situation?

2018-11-29 02:40:26 UTC

Hummm.

2018-11-29 02:43:20 UTC

Does pointing fingers at an entire sex help the situation? Does it take away from the discrimination those men endure that it's at the hands of their own sex?

Tbh, what you ran across there in against men's rights isn't aimed at finding any kind of solution. It's just finger pointing.

Men and women both should receive the same support when they are victims of crime, but services and support are disproportionately given to the female sex. This needs to change.

2018-11-29 02:45:06 UTC

There we go.
