India is maybe the most sexist country for men in the planet. It's a weird confluence of traditional gynocentrism, political whiteknightism and feminism
yet it has some of the most brutal and publicly acceptable incidents of rape in the world
Life in most parts of India is hard, both for men and women. As is with everywhere else in the third world
People have this gynocentric tendency to overlook male issues. That's why we get people more hung up with rape than lynchings

You can take the case of the example of Rwanda, during the insurgency, women were interviewed by international media and became an international outcry when the Rwandan women said that they are being raped when they go out to fetch water.
The interviewers asked them why could the men just do that then.
And to that they replied that men would be killed if they went out.
