1 Timothy 2:15 Yet she shall be saved through childbearing; if she continue in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.
Well then!
Troll?
Also, you don't read the bible much 😦
@Judas Maccabeus this isn't the place for sexism. Read the rules. Consider this your warning
I dont read the Bible?
Yet I just quoted the New and Old Testaments
You have probably never seen a real Christian in your life
we dont do mysoginy here
go to r/mgtow or r/braincels
@Judas Maccabeus Oh, I thought it looked familiar.
My personal thought on the image is that we should strive to be an Egalitarian movement and that both Christians and MRAs should see the image you posted as being against our mission. As Galatians 3:26 to 29 says - we are all equal.
In any case, I think we are in danger of starting a debate in <#512584678314606613>, so maybe we should change the subject or move it elsewhere.
Di d I articulate that correctly?
That post was pretty whiny to be honest
If you do not want to start a debate then do not give one quotation of scripture and claim that everything is settled
We are definitely not all equal, women are presented from teaching or holding authority over men in 1 Timothy 2
And a woman is to submit to her husband in all things
Yes please use an ancient book to convey your sexist views
Implying there is something wrong with sexism
Sexism is against this discords rules, whether you believe there's something wrong with it or not
I am not actually being sexist I am just saying that the idea of sexism is not wrong
You are being sexist though
Is it sexist to say that patriarchies are natural?
A Woman can hold authority over men if she works hard
Hmm.. that is one opinion
But then when we read the Bible the opposite is true
Basically in the west anyone who does not worship women is a misogynist
If you believe job positions should be filled by merit rather than quota
Misogyny
Religious texts are open to interpretation of the times they were written in. Not everything in them is sound advice in today's world
Except the one authority who complied the biblical canon has already interpreted it
Why not
Patriarchy is not even the correct word
It's rather an oligarchy
How many women were involved in these oligarchies you speak of
Power resided with a miniscule percent of men
And women
If you consider queens
