@FreshWholeMilk are you aware i mentioned exactly that?

2019-02-06 05:38:56 UTC

thats literally a huge part of my point, it just when science is involved and i ask a scientific question, im not looking for a "who" but a "how". its like asking how a car is built and you tell me factory workers.

2019-02-10 13:12:30 UTC

People who dismiss science and replace it with science are fools

2019-02-10 13:12:44 UTC

You can have both you mongoloids

2019-02-10 13:20:42 UTC

wat

2019-02-10 13:20:59 UTC

so we can have 2 science ???

2019-02-10 19:05:02 UTC

@Holly Jolly Willow i think you mean replace god with science but this seems to be the line scipio is taking

2019-02-10 19:13:24 UTC

When society reaches the inevitable arrival of transhumanism there will come a time of nihilism in the sense that the values provided by God will no longer be enough to accomodate for post-human human existence

2019-02-10 19:14:19 UTC

Nietzche delved into this topic extensively and its worth it to have a look at his concepts of "God is dead" and the "ubermensch"

2019-02-10 19:17:05 UTC

human beings that eventually reach lifespans of 500+ years will eventually have to start looking towards themselves to create their own values where God fails to provide, as the lack of "death" will eventually make it easier for humans to fall into degeneracy

2019-02-10 19:21:00 UTC

No I mean replace science with holy unknowns for no reason

2019-02-10 19:21:44 UTC

Why not just admit that science is real and just say "oh yeah my God is cool because they made all this intricate math and science."

2019-02-10 19:24:00 UTC

This looks like a strawman made out of misunderstandings or experiences with low iq people. Anyway, you shouldn't argue here. You can move this to <#507035890640486411> or <#508381442942959616>

2019-02-10 19:58:18 UTC

its proper co-existence of society itself

2019-02-13 19:21:56 UTC

That's not what he said, he just pointed out that fun being the higher objective is alien and unholy, and that there is a cult of entertainment nowadays, which are both correct.

2019-02-13 20:00:37 UTC

yeah, great that you pointed that out

You gave <:autism:508484030165942293> rating to the Bearer of the Course. Is it to mock my misunderstanding or cause you disagree?

2019-02-16 01:09:45 UTC

It's just to mock me, he has nothing better to do

2019-02-16 04:46:55 UTC

From oxford dictionaries “fun” arises from the late 17th century and unless the translations I’ve been reading are terrible, “fun” is used in war and peace pretty extensively. Also I have no idea why people divorce long term achievement and fun. Accomplishing your goals is enjoyable, progress towards that same. I don’t get this self-flagellation that people put themselves through thinking they either have to be dour, spiritually pure aescetics who hate all fun or obese drunks slamming hookers and injecting meth into their eye. You can be happy and be a good person.

2019-02-16 10:48:54 UTC

@Milan Ah, no. That's just to mock Bearing over here. Your points are more than valid and, as an Orthodox myself, "fun" in no way can be strived towards as a higher goal.
