Increased automation is only good with countries with a declining population, and is a better solution to countries importing third worlders
Perhaps automated management isn't too bad in some sectors, but in general automation of labor is not beneficial.
the best option is just letting it go. I see no problem with a nations economy shrinking if its population shrinks as well

The problem with "helping those poor unemployed people" is most of them are either non whites or terrible people who don't deserve help. Furthermore, the money it would take to "do something" about it will have to come from somewhere, most likely from hard working white people.
